Hi folks!

We’re wrapping up the first quarter of 2025, and we have quite a bit happening right now! Let’s get into what’s new in SWTOR the last few months, and then move into what will be coming in the near future.

Game Updates

We kicked off with Game Update 7.6.1 featuring Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers[www.swtor.com]”, letting players take advantage of special buffs that would help them demolish their enemies in Uprising Encounters. This season comes with a plethora of new rewards including items like the Senator Consort hairstyle and Coruscant and Kaas Compact Cruiser Mounts inspired by the Disney+ series Andor™.

Many rewards are also heavily themed around a couple of our starter planets, Coruscant and Dromund Kaas.

For players who enjoy decorating their Strongholds, we also released Coruscant and Dromund Kaas themed Utility Bundles that can be found in the Cartel Market.

Public Test Server (PTS)

We recently opened up a new round of PTS to share progress on character modernization updates. We want to thank everyone who has participated and your feedback is a critical part of putting the final touches on this work. We’ll be releasing updates to character models over time beginning with the neckline seam improvements which will be released in Game Update 7.6.1c. Further refinements to face smoothing and other initiatives will appear on PTS at a later time.

Currently, we are gathering feedback on character modernization until April 3rd and then we will be preparing to open the PTS to release Master Mode for Relentless Replication!

Experienced players who enjoy a good challenge will want to check out the newest mode for this encounter. We will be gathering feedback here!

More details regarding the PTS will be posted when we have them, so keep an eye on our forums and social channels for future updates.

What else is happening?

As a reminder, the AC-10 Disruptor Mount Twitch Drop is currently active until April 8th. Watch four hours of live SWTOR content on Twitch to unlock this reward. If you haven’t yet, hook up your SWTOR and Twitch accounts on the My Account page on swtor.com to ensure that you can obtain this mount and future Drops.

What’s coming up?

This is a wonderful year for Star Wars™ fans all around the world! Star Wars Celebration 2025™ will be hosted in Tokyo, Japan this year and those attending may see a couple of familiar faces there. While we are not hosting a Cantina, Ashley, Jackie, and Joe will be out and about meeting players and representing SWTOR during that weekend.

SWTOR will also have a featurette on the Star Wars Celebration Live™ stream as well. We will communicate the exact date and time when it will air, and you will not want to miss it. We plan to show some never before seen footage, so be sure to tune in!

At the end of April, we will be releasing the next Master the Fight bundle, featuring the Storm I. This mount is mini pet compatible, is rideable at level 1, and comes with a fun flourish and additional speed boost!

That brings us to May! We will have a log in reward to celebrate May 4th, and a variety of events and sales happening during that time. Stay tuned for more details!

We also anticipate hosting the Game Update 7.7 livestream sometime in early May. More Dynamic Encounters and Master Mode for Relentless Replication will be coming in 7.7 as will additional character customization options and more. We’ll go over all the details in the stream, so keep an eye out for the date announcement.

Is there any update on story content?

The team has not stopped working on our story updates! We shared details about "Galactic Threads" in the 7.6 livestream, and are looking forward to sharing a glimpse of "Master's Enigma" in the 7.7 livestream. We know story is a vital part of what makes SWTOR so special, and we're eager to release these updates as soon as we can. Character Modernization updates and Master Mode for Relentless Replication will be released on the Public Test Server (PTS) beginning today! Below are details and a rough timeline when to expect specific content to be available on the PTS.

Character Modernization

Updates to our Character Modernization initiative are now available on the PTS! The two main focuses for this iteration are the smoothing textures on character faces and improving the neckline seam textures.

Relentless Replication Master Mode

(The Propagator Core XR-53 boss)

The hardest difficulty for the Propagator Core XR-53 Operation Boss is intended to be available on the PTS in early April. As with previous testing, we will be using the PTS Forums[forums.swtor.com] to communicate questions and changes as player feedback rolls in.

We will communicate the exact day and time when this content will roll out on the test server on our social channels and Dev Tracker[forums.swtor.com].

We will be bringing down servers tomorrow, March 25 at 7am CT / 12pm UTC to deploy a fix for the polymorph issue keeping players from progressing through cinematic scenes in the Knight of the Eternal Throne Chapters.

Galactic Season 8 “Rising Powers”

Kai Zykken reaches out offering an opportunity to try out Czerka’s new Experimental Combat Enhancers. In order to test the effectiveness of these seasonal items, players will be guided to jump back into Uprisings content. 

Uprisings are now available to all players and can be accessed beginning level 10.

New Basilisk Prototype Venture Customizations

Four new B3-S1 variants will be added to a new vendor at Lane’s Lab! Turn in Prototype Data and role-specific currencies to help fund The Curator’s projects in order to obtain the new variants!

Additional Achievements have been added to the Tatooine and Hoth Dynamic Encounters. 

Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival

This seasonal event returns with the launch of 7.6.1! Return to your homestead on Dantooine to complete a variety of daily and weekly missions and earn new rewards! Read more details here[www.swtor.com]!

Twitch Drop

The AC-10 Disruptor Mount is the newest Drop that can be obtained after watching four hours of SWTOR content on Twitch! This Drop will remain active until April 8, 2025. To accrue progress toward this reward, connect your SWTOR and Twitch account through your account page on swtor.com. 

Beyond 7.6.1

Character Modernization Status

Our priorities after Game Update 7.6 include the following: 

• Reworking source assets to address wrinkles and muscle definition
• Reworking textures to fix neckline seams
• Improving textures on vibrant colored species such as Chiss

Other initiatives we are tackling include the following:

• Improved lighting for characters in gameplay to better match what’s seen in cinematics 
• Improved lighting in Preview Window
• Additional Species

Players will see the first set of changes when we stand up PTS very soon! 

Relentless Replication - Master Mode

Once we wrap testing and gathering feedback for character modernization, we will re-open the PTS for players to test Master Mode for the Propagator Core XR-53 encounter.

Dantooine Spring Abundance Festival

Date: March 11 - April 8 (BEGINS AND ENDS AT 12:00PM GMT)

• Note: This event will start when servers open at 7.6.1 launch

Requirement: Level 20+

Even heroes need a break every now and then. What better way to pass the time than relaxing on a cozy farmstead on Dantooine? When the event is active, players can pick up the mission on the Fleet and make their way to Blba Groves, a secondary landing point on the planet Dantooine.

Dance the day away, bake pies (or eat them), rescue and rehabilitate injured animals, partake in a galactic egg hunt, and more!

Complete the daily and weekly missions to earn an assortment of rewards!
