Terrible performance and lag
My friend and I recently purchased the game from the epic store, but as soon as we started it up, we faced awful lags. Even opening the options freezes the game for a few seconds. My game became smoother after I lowered the quality (I think lowering the quality of the shadows to low is what really fixed most of it), but my friend's game is still being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, even after doing all that. We tried everything, updating drivers, changing settings, fixing the internet connection, and so on and so on.

Does anyone have an idea what could help with making it smoother? Or maybe someone's facing the same problem? The game is hardly playable at all :c

Whats your specs?

Also i had the same problem when i first booted up. If you have Geforce use that to optimize your computer first. the bench mark doesn't really work the in game benchmark showed i can run ultra settings 60 fps with minor dips to 57 fps. but in actually playing and moving on my own it drops to 45 fps in big open areas. i have a GTX 1660 TI and did a Geforce opt. then changed the setting as i played. i lowered mine to high setting cutting out motion blur and lowering shadows to have a locked 60.

lol, GPU is to low for this game. Minimum is Graphics: Nvidia GTX 960 4GB, or AMD Radeon RX 470

New people, always think that because they have a great CPU they can run games. I see this happen all the time, I always recommend if the just want to run games and don’t care how it looks, find a gaming laptop on Newegg for a decent price and a GPU that can last you a few years. If they really want to get into PC gaming I recommend getting a cheap pre built desktop and then upgrade it over time at their own pace.

Don’t listen to him. If you want to really get into PC gaming ask a buddy that knows computers and check out PC stores like Newegg or go a local computer store in your area. Don’t go to Best Buy or Walmart they are overpriced and aren’t helpful. I know on the west coast there’s BigFry or something and in the Midwest we have Microcenter.

OMG I am such an idiot. I have two gpus... Like all these years i used the intel one for like years, without knowing i could just change to some GeForce GTX 1660 Ti? I had no idea, I thought I dont have to manually change anything. This post is such an embarrassment pffffft

At least I know now that I have a better gpu I can switch to, so always something positive. I at least hope it's at least somewhat decent for Wonderlands. Thanks for the help still but damn, this discussion is going to haunt me

Crazy. But stuff like this happens to other people as well. Don't worry.

I'm on a 1060, 60fps in 1080p with some useless settings set to medium(cause they change nothing visually). Also use Borderless window with DX12, big difference from fullscreen. So 1660ti is perfect for a good performance in 1080p.

You need a dedicated GPU to play this game, integrated is not enough.

Never get prebuilts... smh. even if you slowly upgrade them they are trash and would cost more in the long run for parts.

Prebuilts are fine as long as you order them directly from the company and know what parts you need to replace on their specs page before getting it sent out.
