As someone who enjoys rpgs alot and the classic bad guy and bad puns. This game is by far more interesting than BL3. Im not finished though but I played both games for around 15ish hours so far.

Check other sites for better prices btw, it can be much cheaper

It's more Borderlands. If that's what you want, you won't be disappointed because its the same over the top looter shooter gameplay loop with a few random bells and whistles.

But if you're getting Borderlands Burnout then you may find it tedious.

Anything story or character related is cringeworthy on an entirely new level, but the gameplay is fun.

Is it as cringe worthy as the third one?? I couldn't even get myself to replay the game on true vault Hunter mode

In my opinion it's even worse than BL3, but they're both rather obnoxious.

I'm wondering the same. I haven't gotten to the chaos levels yet, but that sounds like a better end game system then just doing the same bosses/quests over and over. That said I couldn't go through the BL3 cringe story again anyways.

No second playthrough, no raids and no raid bosses.

Endgame is primarily Chaos Chambers. It's also how you grind most of your gear. And test your builds. And farm moonstones to reroll your gear. And unlock Chaos Levels. Once you hit max level, you spend almost all of your time once spamming these randomly generated runs that reuse levels, enemies and bosses. There's no unique content in Chaos Chambers aside from the four hidden bosses which all share the one same defining gameplay mechanic.

Acquiring build-defining items is significantly more time consuming thank to the sheer amount of randomness in getting a good drop, leading to burnout more easily than in any other title. As if that wasn't enough, you have to refarm your gear as you progress in Chaos Levels, and if you aren't lucky with enchantment rerolling you're better off refarming again on top of that. Also, did I mention that only 1/49 of the armor pieces you get are actually going to be for the multiclass you're currently playing?

DLCs offer almost no content compared to previous games. They add Mirrors, which are linear runs that take ~15 minutes to beat and are only played for the DLC legendaries.

Only ~25 hours worth of side content, compared to the ~50-100 hours in BL2 & BL3. On top of that, about half the side content in this game is just repeating randomly generated 'Encounters' which gets repetitive fast, especially because they use the same layouts as Chaos Chambers.

Farming dedicated drops isn't as appealing as before, meaning you have even more incentive to just play Chaos Chambers.

Legendary items are pretty boring with more passive effects than unique or gameplay altering mechanics.

If it even worse than BL3, Im glad I passed this one. Looks ugly.

Legendary drops all the time was the only really good thing they added. Most people played the game without ever seeing half the decent guns that really become desirable in the higher levels.

BL3 added a lot of new things, but it also lost some creativity. The story was poor and the artwork even poorer. All the characters looked like nuclear fallout patients gone wrong. But it was a very fun game.

Tiny Tinas is surprising refreshing and fun but it is still very much BL3. Certainly not worth the money, but sure is one to add to the collection when the price is low enough.

i for one love the fact that legendaries drop more often. it makes the game more enjoyable and makes me come back for more. certainly a step up from borderlands 2.

yes the story is horrendous and is a major turnoff but so what the gameplay is so much better than previous games and the loot is a big big part of the charm.
And you don't have to use a mod to get proper loot drops like BL2's current state. Its loot drops are almost non-existent unless you are using BL2FIX or something similar.
Only idiots will complain about loot drops being bad in a game thats all about loot drops.
Or maybe you are a sadist and you can't enjoy anything unless you are mentally tortured to the edge for it...

So much of loot drops oh my gawd i am gonna faint. oh my gawd so bad game, so terrible. I believe such people should be shot in the head twice.... just in case they don't drop a legendary the firs time.
