BL3 is a considerably longer game. Dollar for dollar you will get more out of it, and the story driven DLCs (not Season Pass 2) extend that considerably. For some, SP2 in BL is similar to the DLC of TTWL, some regret having purchased them, I'd say they're more for the hard core fans that just want everything from the games.

I have about 300h in TTWL (EGS and Steam combined) having finished it fully with 3 toons. My BL3 game time (EGS and Steam combined) is well over 1000h having finished it with all 4 toons on both NVHM and TVHM with all DLCs and Season Passes.

I personally really like both games, I prefer the magics of TTWL over the grenades of BL3. Each game has tweaked the gun play just that little more, refining it and making it better. But the actual number of weapons in TTWL is also a lot less than in BL3 (variety and parts wise).

If you can get a good deal on BL3 right now WITH Season Pass 1 (i.e. the 4 story driven DLCs included), it would be your best bet. If you can get an even better deal on TTWL and you're NOT the kind of person that puts hundreds upon hundreds of hours into a game and only wants to go through the main story once, then TTWL is a good fit.

I have a lot of games that I only purchased in order to play them through once due to having to spend time on work, family, etc as well. So those games make me happy if I can get 20-30 hours of game time from them. I sink more of my time into repeated returns to the Borderlands series and in this case, TTWL.

Bethesda is only the publisher. Arkane is the dev. Maybe research next time.
Who’s last game was deathloop which is an enough to raise some concern.
Really? I've only heard mostly good things about it. You can't tell me the Dishonored series was bad though.

It’s been viewed more average by users if anything only a few mainstream outlets praised it, the pc version had issues which will make people second guess getting redfall. I like dishonored and prey but those were before deathtloop.

Well Redfall looks good to me and we don't have any open world looter shooters(with offline support) currently so I am getting Redfall day one and I really don't see it being bad at all. The gameplay they showed looks good and I have sullied my expectations so I know it might just be Farcry with loot drops and I'm perfectly fine if that is all it ends up being.

You can be interested, just saying that most aren't going to spend 70 bucks on it they'll try it with gamepass if anything.

I think you'd be surprised. I bet it will do just fine regardless of Gamepass.

Deathloop sales say otherwise, most aren’t willing to risk 70 dollars on something they can play/try via GamePass.

You are very wrong bud. Not everyone has game pass and still buy games at full price.

Game pass is on Xbox and pc so if it’s on PlayStation it’s the only thing omitted, so anyone can use it to try the game instead of gambling 70 bucks, more so given how the pc version of deathloop was.
Neither. BL2 is best
Tiny tina is short, has somewhat annoying writing, the game is constantly breaking the 4th wall, never in a good way. the main villain is the definition of a paper tiger. The whole of this game can basically be played in a dlc for Bl2. You dont get to make impactful decisions, Hell you dont make decisions. Ether your doing a quest and the game makes it seems like theres a choice in the quest only to have the (the map is a literal board table, other people besides you and Tina are playing at) these other guys be like "no i want the quest were doing rn to change in a whacky way" cause unpredictability is good writing right? Or tina is 4th wall breaking to change the quest again mid quest. The end game content consists of grinding the same thing on repeat forever.

Bl3: the worst writing recorded in human history. Completely undoes most of what you accomplished in bl2. still has bad dlc and bad end game content when compared to Bl2 but better then tiny tina only due to fact you do can do more in end game. not just grinding the same dungeon like 60 times

But Eff both of these games when Bl2 exists go back to a time when all the writers individually could write their own best selling novels. To a time the Villains aren't so immensely cringe that simply being introduced to the main villains for the 1st time makes you immediately play the game on mute the rest of your play through (bl3). To a time the main villain actually was a threat and didnt just 4th wall break in every convo (tiny tina)
Also again Bl2 Dlcs are god tier tiny tina is essentially just a dlc for that game

As an exceptional architect of the human word, please speak with GBX and provide them the astounding skills they seek in writing the storyline for BL4.
Many here complain, and they say nobody delivers... all I see every day is people complaining how their 'game' has a terrible story. 30 years ago when playing on my NES, the games had no story to begin with. And the games cost just as much.

Can we please just make sure that we maintain our expectations in check. Everything will not fill each others needs.

You don’t have to respond or read this thread, here’s the issue with your example games didn’t bog the player down with plot. Bl3 and not so much wonderlands does and in some cases stops the player from progressing until characters are done talking. If the plot or characters were like 2 or pre-sequel heck is they went the route of bl1 and have the plot not be the focus it would be fine. But they didn’t which is why people are annoyed by 3s overall plot. People had little expectations for 3 and were still disappointed.
BL3 is a masterpiece, sure Tyreen Calypso makes you want to rip her hair out but that makes it all the more fun to decimate her before she can finish her scripted fly attack mechanics lol

It is much more demanding to run than Wonderlands, more complex environments and it is just absolutely beautiful in every scene you are in

Borderlands 3 is definitely one of the most satisfying games I have ever played and I have basically upgraded my PC 4 or 5 times just to play this with higher resolution, frame rate and fidelity
>It is much more demanding to run than Wonderlands,
Lol no. Wonderlands has improved materials and landscapes, it requires a bit more than Borderlands 3 system wise. On my GTX 1660Ti on (almost) max settings Wonderlands has much lower FPS than B3. Requires reducing fogs, material quality and foliage details to have good 80+ FPS.

But of course, B3 is also very beautiful game nevertheless. They share the same engine after all.

Regarding "what game is worth more", well, if you're measuring "value per dollar" then Borderlands 3 definitely has much more content even without DLC. Longer campaign, bigger weapon variety, more complicated and intricate classes. Wonderlands is just shorter game - but the quality and fun is still there, so if you like magic and Tiny Tina humor then it's a great buy.
