Do shrine-buffs carry over to other character?
Title.
Please tell me I don't have to go thru that shrine-grind again...

Lucky dice are the only collectible that carries over. There are 260 of them, shrines are nothing in comparison

Redoing shrines on other characters is a good thing, because XP = levelling up, factor in that you only get one playthrough and getting to level 40 is a chore, at least you are doing something useful with a meaningful reward instead of grinding camps or bosses. On top of that unique items will have to be farmed from vendors if you complete their side missions early instead of waiting until level 40.

That number would be correct IF you were locked into your second class. As we know, once the game is beaten you can freely CHANGE your second class... so...

FIVE Characters
are needed to play all 15 of the available permutations..

This is one of the worst parts of the system bank slots are ridiculously expensive, and runs out quickly with multiple characters. For long-term players it would be better to use save edits to have one of each character for storing combo classic specific gear (particularly class mods and amulet and ring rolls that are more suited to a specific combo)

I never said anything about the “feasibility” of only playing 5 characters, just correcting the math.
==
Now that we have the a way to alter the save GUID, I already have a maxed bank and two mule saves files to help offset the huge number of armor pieces to be saved along with weapons with various enchants.

I understand, I am just offering my opinion, on why I dislike the "too many" classes, not faulting you of course, it's just a general criticism of the game.
Gotcha & here’s a nice claptrap for your troubles

I still don't get why people are complaining.

There's a fair amount to complain about with this game but complaining about collectibles that give you stat increases in a fantasy game inspired by DnD seems unreasonable.
In BL1, 2, pre-sequel and 3 we never had collectibles that buffed our character.

Ones you finished the campaign and want to play as another character you will speedrun it, but with the collectibles need to be collected each time that speedrunning gets slowed down by alot.

Also in the past you only needed to redo the campaign 4 to 6 times to get every character to endgame with the dual classing you got 15 different combinations and we are not even talking about the backgrounds system.

I don't know about you but i'm playing Wonderlands, not Borderlands 4.

I know Borderlands because I've played all 4 games through all characters up through TVHM, had no expectations that this game would be more of the same and i'm OK with the change of pace.
