And you should never have to go through tall grass on the way to main areas to quest in, so I assume you exaggerated for effect there or I'm missing a main are that forces you through grass encounters.
Yeah it's a bit annoying, also not a fan - but at least you can teleport to the hub - and back to where you last where at with that portal in town.
Especially on PC, because you don't actually click the locations... you drag the map until the location is centred, then press a button to load THAT map, then drag for placing custom markers etc... it's clearly designed for controller first because it feels awful to use with a mouse.
