Is this game worth it?
I love borderlands but this game has so much mixed reviews everywhere. Any opinions on the game?

I'd say no. I got this game on PS5 and my play group got bored of it quicker than any other BL game. Trash story. Very limited build diversity. Lame legendary items. Bare bones end game. 0/10 cash grab DLC.

It is just another borderlands with different story and some QoL improvements. If you liked the looter-shooter-RPG part of borderlands, you will propably like it. Not sure about those overpriced/content-lacking DLCs tho...

No, It's woefully overpriced for what's offered. It is in no way worth $60. If you want to play it, get it on sale when It's like $20 max.

It's essentially a BL3 DLC under the guise of a standalone title. Basically if they sold TTADK for $60, you were locked to only play that DLC, and removed a ton of gun variety, that's what this is pretty much.

If you like Borderlands and D&D, you'll probably like it. It's kinda funny and the classes are pretty cool. I'm enjoying it so far:BL3Thumbsup:

You call this game "a DLC" yet only its campaign is almost 15 hours long (much longer than BL2) with tons of side content. This "removed gun variety" is another BS because clearly they introduced magic and melee weapons that adds more variety, not less.
Not to mention 6 different classes with more than dozens combinations of skilltrees, they added atribute points and other minor improvements.
This game is equally worth 60$ as BL3 was.

The 60$ worth is questionable, like BL3 had 3 free events and 2 free takedowns (ok BL3 did cut the raidboss and sold it back later to us).
I would say its more of a 50$ game, but the DLCs are way overpriced, 10$ for a basically a BL3 like takedown and that for each of the 4 DLCs.

Pricing is always subjective, no matter what content is or isnt there. Game is longer than BL2, certainly not "a DLC" or "longer version of TTADK". I prefer sticking to facts and whether game is worth a pricetag is rather irrelevant (especially now since it is -20%).
But yes, you are right. Game recieved far less post-launch content, both free content is rather lacking AND paid content quality is... dubious.

It's not 15 hours long, It's only that long if you're doing all the side quests and stuff like that. You can easily finish the main campaign in a few hours. It's the same for TTADK. That DLC is like 4-5 hours long but doing sidequests bumps that time up just the same. And I dunno, a lot of that side content is Overworld filler quests that take a couple minutes if less to do.

The "removed GUN variety" topic is not BS. They completely removed Maliwan and Atlas guns. There are also no alien guns. Additionally, they removed weapon skins. Jakobs and DAHL weapons are severely bumped down to specific varieties of their subclasses. Jakobs ARs are always semi-auto, DAHL pistols are relegated to semi/burst fire only AFAIS, Elemental DAHL SMGs are always lasers. Also, magic(recharging grenades) and melee weapons are irrelevant, they have nothing to do with the guns.

There's only a dozen skill tree combos, you can't use more than one action skill of the four available, and can't respec which class you choose. This isn't mentioning how max level is 40, so build variety is limited to only two trees. Attribute points were a great idea though, I did enjoy that addition.

Naw, It's DLC they made as a standalone to rake in cash bruv.

BL2 is twice as long and had way more end game content then TTW, heck even pre-sequel edges by a few hours.

Main story 30 hours is pure BS and i trust me, i played that game a lot. 30 hours look like average main story done 3 times on normal + TVHM + UVHM, that would be more accurate. You can easily find 10 hour full walkthrough on youtube and they are no speedruns. To be fair, you can also find like 12 hour walkthrough of Wonderlands and BL3 (HLTB says 22 hours for B3 to beat main story, my experience say around 15 hours) so it is hard to say which game is truly longer but 30 hours for BL2 is nonsense and so is the claim that Wonderlands is just longer DLC...

And more endgame content for BL2 is what? One invincible boss? Or the fact that you can play everything again with two NG+ mods? Endgame is much better in BL3 and WL. What makes endgame in BL2 great is paid DLCs...
