Coiled Captors DLC Opinion
Hello,
I really enjoyed the campaign of Wonderlands and I've got high hopes for the DLCs because of it as they would expand those wonderful adventures.
Bad sadly Coiled Captors is a disgrace.
You pay 10 bucks on EGS for a DLC that plays like a Chaos Chamber run.
Finish the rooms, beat the boss, done.
Heart- and soulless.
Yeah, there's some voice lines here and there, but for someone, who really liked the campaign, the whole content is disappointing. You're literally through after 15-20 minutes, if you take your time.
I really hope the next DLCs will play like some of the earlier BL3 DLCs, where you've got whole areas to explore with many quests and fun included. This is not okay, especially with that price tag.
Please mind this, Gearbox. :NB_RANGER_NOTE:

dlc came with the biggest patch in the history of borderlands, 15 more chaos levels and those levels once beaten + its boss are added to your chaos chamber runs. well worth it to me.

I played chaos chambers a little, but it didn't turn out to be fun to me. It's just grinding numbers recursively while praying for better gear and while this gameplay loop satisfies some players, it doesn't do satisfy me that much. So I was just hoping to have a little new story or something. :sts_silent:

So, basically, what was worded as a "Dungeon" was basically a multilevel encounter as i thought..

i want more info on the last class still, but it'll probably come with the final dlc.

sorry to say this, but this is the style they said was for all the DLC, with the exception of the class.

its lazy and the time gating is crap i dont wanna wait 4 weeks for every part and the structure of this one dlc does not make me hopful of the future ones , i want an expansion not a singular BORING mission
|f you expect a medium of anything in quality from the industry anymore, DLC wise.... your probably more insane then tina herself.

ill be buying these idividually, as now i know theres not much....

probably pay more then $30 at once....but it'll most likely be over a couple of a months, and ill know whats in them, most likely.

they've made improvements to chaos chamber as well, but if you don't like the gameplay loop then how'd you play through the game from start to finish to begin with? create your own story in chaos chamber, it's based on a tabletop rpg after all.

calling this an rpg is one hell of a stretch
some of this does need to be a little corrected.

they arnt exactly like the encounters, they are more like areas.
this is still non large/campaign adding DLC medium objective connected areas with a boss.

it would have probably helped them some if they worded the description a bit better.

Dungeons in TTWL usually means a 1-2 level encounter where you kill everything and it clears.

and any death resets the whole thing, not just the boss. ANY. including my favorite way to go. death by tediore.

still dosent feel justified for a $30 Season Pass. at least at this point.

For the DLC unless you play offline your locked out of all 4 lvls for the new boss lvl 1 boss is well to easy to kill.

This will probably get taken down (every post or reply I post gets deleted randomly with no reason given.) but honestly the dlc looks to be so bad. It's one boss that all 4 runs can be done in less than 30 minutes, terrible drop rates, and a broken item or 2 but the rest being bad from what I've seen. Oh, but to make it feel longer they locked the runs behind time gates.

I dodged a bullet when I decided against the chaos edition.

They add another low drop rate tier to farm the same items you have.

okay. done. took a while.... pretty much on my legendary tediore killing me and resetting...time gates..... just chaos chamber farming fodder.

wait for the actual class. ive heard this can get tougher as many times as you run it....but even as i kept my souls from each previous attempt, and gambled... i see more sense in the chaos chamber's victory room as i can actually choose what to roll for....

and i really dont feel the need for the tedium to go through the time gates again, resetting and all the crap that came with it.... not even a fun time sink... for a boss that went down in 3 seconds.

Yuck. This DLC seems a bit meager, even in comparison to something like a cheaper Headhunter pack for Borderlands 2; and to think *this* was also deemed sufficient as part of a Season Pass experience as well.

At least the accompanying patch is extensive with popular community requests and fixes, not that you even need a Season Pass for that.

Offtopic: The Patch kind of screwed up Controller Input in the Quick Change.

X is the button for resetting skills. they decided we needed to change our character and pets name, real important stuff.

X Now goes for the Character name change, instead of Resetting Skills everytime.

Im not sure why this was even messed with. not a game breaker either, using the Q Button on Keyboard will do the Reset.

i heard people, when it first came out were having keyboard problems with the inputs. something to do with emotes. i cant confirm it, as until now, i havent used the keyboard for much. which i wasent even sure why we needed emotes in the first place.....

starting to feel like im playing a Bethseda Game, with every AAA Release.

sorry, lagged out Double Post.

This DLC is terrible. The loot is 100% trash vs. the loot that you get in the Chaos Chamber. There is no reason to keep playing it once you pass it once.

Also, they destroyed the Weapon Upgrade/Augment system, although I guess that is more patch related than DLC.
