Paladin Mike
Does anyone else find it disturbing to hear a female voice coming out of a male character paladin mike? It feels really bizzare especially once he takes his helmet off. I've nothing against female voice actors (which is what they used) when they can sound the part but here you can truly tell its a female voice. Would be like running into a 300lb man and hearing the most dainty female voice coming out.

No more disturbing than the voice coming out of Mike Tyson.

female VAs have been voicing male characters for like 50 years at this point. shouldn't be odd or strange at all in games or anime.

some anime it fits especially for young boys /teen boys but for a grown man with beard it just sounds weird. One of my fav voice actors is female and does the voice of the english version of naruto's voice over. It fits because it sounds like a young boy.

This game is also based on a similar gimmick as Dungeons and Dragons, where a female player can have a male character and vice versa. It doesn't seem that strange to me, if anything, it will make it somewhat comedic.

it's cringe and annoying, but people would rather be silent than be called buzzword names so here we are.

Its because the VA is transgender so they thought they would be good for that character i guess. That first mission is legit a copy paste of saving Lorelai in bl3. Just the way they talk to the guard at the door and how they keep using stupid british accents and sayings

if it was voiced by tiny tina it wouldnt bother me at all heh but some reason it not being her or val or fret controlling paladin mike as their own char just makes it a npc with a weird voice.

Doesn't bother me at all. I just assumed they were trans and kept pushing forward. It's not something that gives me pause in the real world as I have friends who are trans so I wasn't phased in game. Just another person to me.

nah, why would it?

Yeah she was my least favourite VA in BL3 and she is here too. Luckily she doesn’t get much screen time, and all other characters are pretty decent

The voice and character are fine to me, but I just don't think the acting is good. Aside from Tina, Valentine and the "Strange" player character voice, I didn't like any of the other voice actors in this game.

The voice felt off for me too.

But whatever, that NPC players a small part in the story, so not a big deal...
It is no different than Netflix's He-Man. It is considered edgy to do things this way, and considered repulsive to dislike it. It is like the kid who used to pick his nose and eat is boogers in class. He did it because he liked the attention. With the current way of society, we are now told to applaud that kid and celebrate his methods to get attention.

One of the bits that put me off BL3 was the voice acting especially from Lorelei, her so over the top fake british accent pissed me off. Then.. she ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ returns as mike in wonderlands.
