Windows 7, anyone?
Has anyone been able to run Wonderlands on Windows 7? The game works with both DX11 and DX12, so in theory it should work on the older OS. I only suggest this because other games (Lost Ark comes to mind) state up and down that Windows 10 is required, but they run fine on my Windows 7 machine.

Minimum requirements say Windows 10. With latest service pack. Why haven't you updated yet. Don't you like games anymore.

As you can see from my Steam profile page, I have about 1000 games in my library. They all work fine on Windows 7, including Lost Ark, which is not officially supported. Of course, I'll buy a new gaming rig at some point here, as I indeed love games.

There's literally like 15 games in total that don't run on 7.

That's good to hear. I'll buy the game key on Steam, if the rumored March 31 release date proves true, or on Epic otherwise. Thanks.

Your the one who went there. Windows 7 is obsolete . Microsoft no longer supports it.That means no updates..NO tech additions and no drivers made by manufacturers. . That number which I doubt will be rising greatly over time. Thats how it works in this hobby. If you want to continue to play new games....You really have no choice but to update. OP seems like he will be soon ..so that is good.

Official drivers are not the end all be all hell the unofficial service pack for 7 is honestly better made than the last official one. The bigger issue is going to be DirectX as while 12 is the main number there are revisions to it that can cause issues with some games same as open GL.

Attorney General: "Windows 10's got what Gamers Crave"
Secretary of State: "Yeah, its got DirectX 12"
Joe: "What IS DirectX 12? Do you even know?"
Secretary of State: "Its what they use to to require Windows 10"
Joe: "Yeah, but WHY do they require Windows 10?"
Secretary of State: "Because Windows 10 has DirectX 12"

Every reason why you should upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 has been made-up ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There are zero technical reasons why you should upgrade. Even DirectX 12 can be made to run on Windows 7! But you won't hear them actually say that, because its one of their underhanded tactics to get people to upgrade. And it worked, and worked well. Now millenials do Microsofts job for them, by shaming everyone into thinking that higher numbers are better.

And speaking as a gamer for over 35 years, and an IT professional for over 20, who is still running Windows 7 due to sound, rational, and informed reasons... thanks for confirming this game runs on Windows 7. I know us Win7 users are in a minority nowadays... but smarter people often are.

I had a buddy who still used windows 7 and he had Chinese people in his background programs in his task manager due to lack of security updates. I remember Linus tech tips saying that windows 7 would have no security.

Say you don't know how cybersecurity works without saying you don't don't know cybersecurity.

Totally agree, but if you're just under 40 years old (IT work in late teens, gamer as child) that places you very much in the millenial generation, lol, you mean gen z perhaps?
