Just messin with ya, it's a *ROGUE LIKE* game, surprise! When you die, you stay dead.
It feels like you want to play this game more casually and want an easier gameplay. Yes BPM is hard, harder than all these little kids games you mentioned. Yes, I was lvl 20 before you were born in both KF1 and KF2. Been there, 3000 years ago. It wasn't so hard, just grindy.
BPM has a tough learning curve. Just play more, you will quickly get the hang of it and blaze through the 1st levels without getting hit. Yes, the "final bowss" you mentioned is a weak åss normal boss. It's not the final boss.
The game appears to be hard, but it isn't so much once you know the mobs and their patterns. It feels good to die and to improve a little bit each time. The only thing which upgrades each time you die is yourself. Because you learn.
All of the pickups you are mentioning are random drops found in chests.
Mobs just drop money. Sometimes.
The latency, I don't experience it with my crappy GTX 1060. But, try to lower the shadow quality as this really helps.
If you really want to play easy or jsut wann explore the game first, then I advise you to save scum like there is no tomorrow.
Saves are there: C:\Users\XXXXXX\AppData\Local\BPM\Saved\SaveGames
Make a copy, die, restore copy, go back to title screen, enjoy the "continue" button
And about the random drops.. they're mostly money that you don't get any benefit from.
I hope this game stays where it is.. unknown and not popular because it didn't even deserve the reputation I've heard about it.
The combat is really nice along with the music but the health issue is so ridiculously stupid.
I've just uninstalled this game, it was a waste of time trying it in the first place.
And btw, it seems that you only played 150 hours of KF2. So you're not really that good to be honest. you haven't even achieved most of the harder achievements. So, You don't know what you're talking about.
Struggling to master the game at first is normal. I was little different. I still can't beat the game with the toughest characters.
HP potions can sometimes spawn from the chests after beating a room and you can also find them in the shop
* I've got tons of money but the idiot who sells stuff doesn't have anything to sell me and I have to face the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss with 25 hp.. ♥♥♥♥ this game
The more money you spend in shops the more items that unlock from the shops so there's some progress to be made the more you play instead of just 100% starting over from scratch every time
* Random rooms can kill you and have you start over
Not sure what you mean here? There are no rooms that just hurt you besides the wall in item shops that sometimes spawns behind the chest for another chest and even then it's 100% optional
* No Armor pickups
Same as the HP potions, chests can sometimes contain them and the shop and sometimes you'll find little coin/key "wasters" (for lack of a better term atm) that can sometimes spawn some armor
* Pistol is too weak and once I got stuck and there was no where to go but the final boss
You'll find some shrines "hidden" in plain sight in some rooms that boost different stats depending on which one you find for the low price of just 1 coin! Sometimes it's extra damage! On easy mode the pistol is also plenty fine for the first boss. You'll most likely find a weapon room on the first or second floor and some chests can contain different weapons
* There's a latency in the game itself (GTX 1070 and i7 4790k)
Haven't noticed anything like this so I can't say
* You have to start over each time you die? WTF!
Just the style of game it is. Some people may not like this
* WTF is wrong with (Too far shots?) really? This is the most stupid thing I've ever seen
It prevents you from just camping in a corner and sniping everything. There's a range stat and having at least 2-3 in that makes a HUGE difference. Different weapons have different default ranges as well. Usually only an issue on the first floor.
If you need any more tips or help you can feel free to add me or just ask on here
it's a roguelike game, you're pitiful if you cry that much when you get hit 4 times in a run. there's a dodge button for a reason
So yea, git gud, feel the rhytm, learn the first boss, the rest is a speedrun)
I dont think anything anyone says will change your mind. BPM is an amazing game.
Like someone said earlier every single room has 1 random "shrine" in it. This can be a 1 coin upgrade to any stat, a dagger shrine, 3 mystery chests or a coin pot. Nearly all of them are useful.
