Can you use your own music?
Not necessarily a bad thing if you cannot, but I am curious.

I don't think you can, hopefully im wrong.

Furthermore, the same second we will be able to use our own music (provided it's the right BPM, even if just a 1min loop), I will buy the game.

Until then, it's just a good idea being burried in my wishlist.

Not everyone who likes FPS games like Metal or guitars for that matter. Quick example- a song like Gesaffelstein - Pursuit. If im able to play the game with that song, you got me hooked. Or at least give me an option to shut down those fking guitars and play WHATEVER ELSE, or at least a little option called Genre selection, having a few Metal, Electronic, Country etc songs. But yea, because of Doom we have to endure this now. Great.

While I support having your own music, I would thank people very much to not diss music they don't like as "noise". None of us like that when people do that to music we like, let's be adults please.

Fair point, I changed it. Didn't want to dissrespect it/you so much, but im really fed up with "only" metal being applied to the formula for some reason. But ok, if they want to limit their playerbase even further, not really my problem.

Modders will probably find a way to make this possible

This is an UE game, so most likely people will hack it like they always do. Hopefully it'll be sooner than later :D

I don't think you can, but hope they will add an option later on.

One thing though - there are specific variations to the music (it's not just one track per level) - the item shop and the boss battle have their own special variations for example.

Somehow I dont think devs who asset flip were really thinking about moddability
DasHurz Sep 15, 2020 @ 5:54am
It's not asset flipping if you actually build a game around assets you buy. Merely buying models from a store doesn't make you an asset flipper, who came up with that idea?
By that logic 80% of 3D games would be asset flippers for buying Unreal Engine.

They didnt buy anything to make this game. Other unreal devs make their own assets my dude. You can find every asset they used for this for free on unreal market place

Dude, you have posted the same childish ♥♥♥♥ in like every thread in this forum. We get It, you don't like that they use Paragon assets. Now get over yourself and stop repeating yourself over and over and over again, we really don't care that much about your opinion.

I tried it, but the actual game files, or better said the one file, .pak, is locked/encrypted. If that wasn't the case, changing the music would be a breeze. I might be missing something, im not really an expert in UE. And again, I love the idea of the game, I like the style and gameplay loop. But I cannot stand the music. This is a hard miss for devs, im fairly certain a lot of people would be into this is there were other genres to choose from.

I would really like a fps beat game in which I could use my own music library.
