This music.. is ugh.. Please get some proper metal.
These soundtracks are super generic and vanilla sounding.

Yup. I could just stfu and not participate in the fanboi drooling over a lackluster title.

That's one option.

Another option is for you not to cry about someone else's "whining". I'm providing player feedback. I don't guess that I'm alone in my sentiment. There's certainly more people just like me that would like to the music go a bit harder.

So really, who's the ***king whiner here? The guy making a request of the Devs; or the guy whining about someone else's opinion?

Your feedback is noted and stashed neatly right next to the other 6 players' that dont like the killer soundtrack. The rest of us are enjoying it through and through.
Came back to the game since it's initial launch and the tunes have only endeared themselves even more to me. Right now I can't decide if Rhythm King or Machinations is my personal fav, but I like all the tracks and feel they fit the action nicely. I will say Into Asgard definitely gets a bit repetitive after a while, and if there is a sequel down the line it may behoove the devs to find a way to rotate the playlist around whenever you start a new run.
I'm with OP here. The songs (while pretty generic in nature) aren't completely terrible, but when the first and often *only* level someone experiences in an attempt features the same track EVERY time, it destroys my excitement to try a subsequent run. If that's an intentional game design then WOAH BOY what an amazing decision for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on your own replay value. If the developer doesn't want to change the genre of the music, at the very least create some variety for the player. There are already complaints about the stale nature of character builds from run to run. I'm just not so sure the developer understands that 'Variety is King' when it comes to roguelikes. Custom soundtracks would fix way more problems than it could possibly create and it shouldn't be that trivial to implement.

Oh ok I see it too. Reported.
As much as OP is being a ♥♥♥♥, y'all being even bigger babies. Sheesh
honestly, the soundtrack while not terrible, is rather forgettable and gets repetitive real quickly.
Like after a few runs I ended up turning the music all the way down just because some of the instruments and noises in the soundtrack are rather...whining and while it was cool at first, after hearing it enough times, I just wanted it to stop
OP isn't exactly wrong about it sounding generic and 'vanilla.' Try not to be offended by his statement. I wouldn't really listen to the OST outside of the game itself but for what this game IS I would imagine you'd want it to be easy to get the rhythm and not be overly complex. There's a lot of stuff going on at once and dodging to GWAR or some goofy lord of the ring metal like Rhapsody would get kind of tough. Besides, dude is an indie dev, he isn't rocking a platinum practice chamber and ruby metronomes.

OP wasn't being a ♥♥♥♥ or anything with his post. I've only ever been moderately into metal so it's not a big deal to me. That being said, maybe OP is hella passionate about metal and just wants it properly represented and there's nothing wrong with that.

I bet you only know of that being a fun, topically relevant thing to say because you saw it somewhere online.

*Someone please notice me, I'm listening to the REAL, TRUE MUSIC, I'm not a POSER like y'all*
Really, you're arguing like a little angry kid.

As for me, my playlist contains a lot of different groups, from Green Day to Meshuggah, from Offspring to LoG, from Orange Goblin and Electric Wizard to Cannabis Corpse and Scar Symmetry etc, won't give you a full list. Maybe the OST isn't super innovative or technical, but at least it has some really catchy tracks and greatly matches with the gameplay.

But I must admit that it's very repetative at some point and it's boring to listen to the same one track beating, for example, the first floor. It will be great if the devs add some more tracks to each level to diversify the music.

P.S. Reported :>

Well f**k, I got you to read it and write a small dissertation on it. So.. winning? It's not a debate in music theory and polyrhythms. It's a post representing my f**king opinion.

The post has traction and attention. Who puts anything on a public platform with the intention of it not being seen? It's a subjective opinion, shared by me - targeted at the devs and others who feel similarly.

Dev white knighters aren't obligated to reply. But they did. So I return the s**t they're giving to me. Fair is fair.

That's where we are. That's where YOU are.

P.S.
Still DGAF about a report.
Still haven't done anything wrong.
