Sanngrior thoughts
So i completed her recently on hard, expecting to unlock some interesting stuff aaand she has nothing. I understand she meant to be for hardcore and all, but really, making her flat without any unique quirk makes her uninteresting to play as.
Every character has his own gun, tricks with health, ult or active abilities, or at very least starter buffs which makes them unique and interesting to play in its own way. Spent 200+ runs on Odr to complete him on hard and never he was felt that lame as Sanngrior, he's unforgiving but makes it up with cool abilities and somewhat challenging shotgun. With Her though, basically Goll with no health, could've even give a different gun, maybe worse than pistol, that'd be superfun, especially that hitscan launcher with one bullet and highest DMG in game lol.

What do you think? Having fun with her?

She's just a pure test of skill on a level above Odr, winning as her is just for bragging rights and that's fine for me. If I wanted variety I'd play Run

I found Sanngriðr to be easier than Odr purely because of the starting weapon. I could not deal with the shotgun because getting up close and personal while being a one hit kill makes me panic. It took me over 200 runs to beat Odr on hellish, where I did Sanngriðr in around 70 and on the failed runs i consistently got further without good luck. I think they are both in the right places in the game but I do agree that Sanngriðr is missing something. Maybe she should start with the golden gun. I think that would be neat. That said, they definitely changed my perception of the difficulty of the game. Prior to Odr, I thought BPM would be the easiest roguelite I've ever played Odr elevated BPM to being the second hardest roguelite i've played, albeit somewhat shallow compared to the first.

Yeah but Run is really OP since the start if you unlocked his abilities. Even without them, spawning with Chaingun and infinite ammo is kinda win from the start.

Besides i dont really play anyone who have health because it can be increased up to 300hp +shields which removes the threat of death. Thats why Odr and Sangri were the only options for real challenges. Skuld and Helfjotur have interesting health, but they still can take more than one hit.
Hopefully next update will have characters with instant death and somewhat of an interesting things to offer

Actually had an opposite experience, i've done Odr Hellish a lot quicker than Sangri, maybe because flight and unlocked abilities. Flight is really OP in the game, since i completed Sangri Hard exactly thanks to Spacewalker gloves, at Helheim and Svartelfheim lots of lava and enemies, helpful when you dont have to look where you step

Run starts with random weapon, skills, items, and health/max/shield amount. You don't 'unlock' his abilities. That's why he's the variety guy to me.

That's intended. She's not supposed to offer a unique playstyle or get any stronger, she's supposed to be a raw test of perfection.

Honestly, I beat Odr on Easy and Hard in very few runs (my first run and about 4 runs, respectively), and Sanngrior on Easy didn't take me that many runs either (20, I think).

But I'm up to 90 runs on Sanngrior Hard and I've only gotten to Helheim a handful of times. The majority of the threat comes from enemies that combine "total invulnerability" and "projectiles that lead you", that is when I'm not being instantly deleted by bats and scorpions within 1 second of entering a room.

Seems like people keep a count of runs, need to pick it up too. Took me about a 2 weeks for Hard Sangrior, one sessions per day, probably around 100+ runs total.
I only had a 2 levels that made me die frequently with her.
Svartelfheim 1 with tight rooms, ton of projectiles and clockwork ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Feels like that clockworks have got buffed with projectile speed and precision after the last update.
Helheim 1 there is only one threat - skeleton mages, there is one specific room with lava, and multiple Fly hives which makes you multitask like in none other room ever, flying Skeleton mages just an extra sauce here.

Some bosses are also annoying with non distinguishable attacks like that fatass in Vanaheim 1 with one whole room based attack, where you have to get into the circle quick. Odr had easy time teleporting to it, but her...

The game keeps the count of your current streak on the character select screen.
