All in all, only "specific" thing is having both decent defense and decent offense. But each of those was notable - Dwarven Ring alone gave me firepower to match anything (even without infinite ammo later on I wouldn't lose much), meanwhile defense boost allowed to substantially reduce Hellish's doubled damaged, ignoring occasional damage taken. (Of course I wouldn't survive even with that if I couldn't dodge most ♥♥♥♥, but still)
