Validation successful, still says its fine.

Can't even write a review warning others because stuck at 1m play time.


Couldn't refund fast enough. NEGATIVE 1 out of 10, because I wasted 20 minutes of my life on this piece of crap that Ill never get back. I could have used those 20 minutes running a cheese grater on my face and it would have been better spent.

Are there any pieces of software that are running on your computer that might be conflicting with the game? Try disabling your antivirus temporarily and run it again. It's not a scam/ripoff but does certainly sound like you have an issue of some kind. I picked up the game and have been playing it without a problem.

I did the usual troubleshooting, validating, restarting, turning off AV, etc. To be honest, I got to a point where I just went "This is dumb. Im wasting my time trying to get a game Im probably only going to play 3 hours until the novelty wears off and itll then get shelved to collect dust, so why beat your head into a wall, just refund it."

But you are perhaps right, maybe "ripoff" and "scam" are a little harsh. Just because it doesnt work on mine doesnt mean it wont work on my neighbors. But still, its 20-flipping-20, you'd think the gaming industry as a whole would have gotten the basics like "will start on all machines (within run specs)" by now.

Uh, you realize that is a pipe dream right? That is just naive thinking right there, NO pc will EVER be the same, there will be something different in hardware configuration which, can lead to quirks that only that pc will see/have, using the current year meme is just a meme.

Yeah, but it doesnt stop me from wanting it. I've got close to 300 titles that all had no problem running the first time, I don't see why I should start to compromise now.. Either way, its refunded and done, My post will inform players, and they can make their own decisions.

Question, when you said it wouldn't start, do you mean you had the 'first installation of U' forever or what? It IS a UE game and those USUALLY have a lengthy start up, all the nightmares of killing floor 2 come to mind.

If you are having problems loading the game, try going to your Windows\System32 folder, copying xinput1_3.dll and renaming the copy to xinput1_4.dll. This fixed it for me.

Like I said, its done and refunded, but for that joker Captain Canada, the whole reason theres 1 min of play time is because when I click play, it says "running" for a few seconds, then it cimpletly stops and the button changes back to "play" again.

It doesn't have a single thing with "waiting for it to load". The process kills itsself before the game can run, theres nothing *to* load. Mot much I can do about my play time if it only "plays" for 3-5 seconds a go.

But its a moot point anyways. Mods should just close this, its pointless to keep this thread open.

Was having the exact same issue, this fixed it.
Not sure why exactly this is an issue, but I'd say the devs should probably look to fix this issue.
