Stable 101. Ships SAM start to ignore ASM
Issue occurred in 101. Ships SAM wont intercept ASM incoming to formation. Sometimes it just do nothing, sometimes it stuck in "engaging" status. Missiles immediate launched after manual designation of ASM.

On the pic you can see incoming ASM. Ship SAM status ready. 6-10 nm to target, thats mean ASM pretty in SAM radius. But no missiles was autofired. Manual firing works OK and missile was firing.

Is this modded?

Haven't had problems with SAMs not firing in #101, but I don't remember there being those extra "[SAM] ... SAM/ASuW" designations.

UPD. Remove Mod. Problem still present.

It seems like the clue in that what ship ASM try to engage. SAM works fine if ASM targeted SAMs ship. But in screen you can see SAM ignoring ASM to some distance to formation. After it start engaging as normal. Radar ON, manual firing work, only autolauch bugged.

on 1 and 2 screen both SAM ships ignoring ASM
on 3 and 4 they start to engaging it

The issue is the AI selection of best weapon to engage the target. In the top 2 images it is using the guns to go after the missiles and not evaluating all weapons for best chance of kill versus the target at range. The Devs will need to check the logic for what weapon is getting used and if they are taking up weapon directors that other weapon systems need for a better shot.

well... on this video, you can see some dozen of ASM intercepted by SAM from my fleet, no one able to impact from 2 different waves.

If you use some mods, it's probably the reason of your problem.
No mod here, I don't use mods on a beta made to debug the game...
All my ships were on weapon tight, I gave not a single order to fire SAMs, but they perfectly do the job on their own.

I've seen this occasionally in an un-modded game. An OH Perry engaged with the 76mm rather than the SM1 even though it was possible to use the missiles manually. It does seem inconsistent though - usually it fires both.
