The Royal Navy vessels that are in game right now are all WW2 class destroyers etc if I recall but don't quote me on that, because they might otherwise have modern sensors and stuff even if they're not outfitted with harpoons and stuff.
But yea, devs main concern on top of functionality and stuff in game is going to be populating it with weapons platforms probably from across the 1960s - 1990s first anyways before they go back and try to open any kind of cataloge of WW2 era platforms (which, btw, inevitably means more than just 1940s decade, but going back to 1930s etc too - a LOT of work)
But the reason not to do so (at least for now) is that the missile age is underrepresented in games and there is so much content to add, and the workforce is limited. Perhaps they should add more tools for modders.
But I will buy such DLS 100%, shut up and take my money. At lesast solely for WW2 ASW.
Yall are gatekeeping a game you do not even have any stakes in lmao
you clearly have no idea what goes into coding a game. No, sparky, you cant just make a DLC and convert SP to World War II ...it would almost have to be a game unto itself.
Which, again, as many have stated, there are games of that ilk already developed.
