Sea Power

Sea Power

World War 2 DLC
This game looks great and I think it could be an interesting idea.

No.
Maybe modded but lets worry about just finishing modern content FIRST before delving into WW2. There's already a few WW2 themed games about fleet management / combat anyways that might satiate your interest.

The Royal Navy vessels that are in game right now are all WW2 class destroyers etc if I recall but don't quote me on that, because they might otherwise have modern sensors and stuff even if they're not outfitted with harpoons and stuff.

But yea, devs main concern on top of functionality and stuff in game is going to be populating it with weapons platforms probably from across the 1960s - 1990s first anyways before they go back and try to open any kind of cataloge of WW2 era platforms (which, btw, inevitably means more than just 1940s decade, but going back to 1930s etc too - a LOT of work)
Buy War on the Sea if you want Sea Power set in WW2 the games are really similar when you are in battle. and not the campaign map for WotS or the mission editor for SP
I thought it myself, that the game mechanics are perfect for a WW2 navy strategy game. Like come on, hunting atlantic convoys with wolfpacks with a modified Sea Power detection mechanics would be astounding.

But the reason not to do so (at least for now) is that the missile age is underrepresented in games and there is so much content to add, and the workforce is limited. Perhaps they should add more tools for modders.

But I will buy such DLS 100%, shut up and take my money. At lesast solely for WW2 ASW.

There are not enough modern age combat games like this, I would rather they added new more modern eras like current year tech, not go backwards. WW2 has been well overdone.
No, there's existing games for that.

No. There are too many games with WW2 setting and only a few Cold War / modern era.

yall are worrying too much... Guy is literally suggesting a DLC, and otherwise a workshop item would be good too.

Yall are gatekeeping a game you do not even have any stakes in lmao

you clearly have no idea what goes into coding a game. No, sparky, you cant just make a DLC and convert SP to World War II ...it would almost have to be a game unto itself.
Which, again, as many have stated, there are games of that ilk already developed.

We have no desire nor interest in making another WW2 naval game. It would be better for us to focus on QOL and OOB for Cold War platform that is SP.
