How does it compare to Harpoon?

Will it remember that at Red flag, the buccaneer was outstanding?

Not very close as to scale. Eventually it will be comparable to Fleet Command. But the scale and detailed modeling of a Harpoon 3 or CMO is well beyond SP for the foreseeable future.

Not even close at this point, To Harpoon and/or Dangerous Waters.

this could go into the direction of cmo wich i hope but as of right now no chance first we need a save feature anyway wich is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ basic its really unbelievable but it is what it is.

They're different beasts. One is a full-on strategic, extreme-depth, counter-moving clock watcher. The other is an actual game, where you can actually see the action taking place. Also, one was developed as a board game and such takes those rules and has that pedigree and history. Sea power does have Fleet Command, and does a pretty good job of using it. It's not perfect and not as in depth as Harpoon. Never will be, and I don't want it to be.

Hm? How's that. It's not us doing that. Why should we? Harpoon is a great game.

edit: Just checked. There is not a single thread mentioning Harpoon which had been deleted. Ever. We usually don't delete threads anyway beside when it might go against Steam rules, if something derails we might close threads.

What's Harpoon Admirals Edition? I have Harpoon3 and thought that was the latest. Harpoon is a bit clunky compared to SP.

Remeber when fleet command was gonna work along side janes usaf for the world war online gaming ambition janes had. Probably some offhand remark that ended up being printed in a mag, no real work done.

I remeber as a kid to have gotten to experience janes combat.net on dial up with a old pentium 1 pc playing janes fighters anthology, no way i was getting to enjoy all the new 3dfx games back then like janes end of line games, had to play software based games but man there were alot of bangers still. I got F4 as a present but it ran bad at the time of release, crashed alot and it ran kinda bad on the pc i had atm

I bet it could be moded to make it more like harpoon. I wish there was a bit more nuance to the harpoons themselves actually. They seem to have modeled an early pop up only version but there were variants that would sea skim the whole way. Having a mix of the two would be a good way to defeat defenses
