Sea Power

Sea Power

War on the sea clone
Is it just me or is this a more polished version than that of war on the sea? Sure you get more units to choose from but it feels just as boring as WOTS did. So the only missions are the limited ones that come with the game? $50 for a handful of missions???

There is a mission editor and more missions in the workshop.

No not really.

War on the Sea is second world war and has more in common with the upcoming Task Force Admiral if anything.

Sea Power is set in the missile age and has more in common with Harpoon and Jane's Fleet command.

I guess the graphics are comparable, but the UI and other elements are certainly much more modern than WotS. I love me some WotS, but their UI is atrocious compared to Sea Power.

Air to air combat in War on the Sea is practically 2D. In Sea Power planes hit the deck or try to gain height advantage so, at least air combat is dramatically better and feels 3d.

Then is the whole missile deal and electronic warfare issue... so no. Not a clone.

Unless I'm mistaken, both are made by different members of the team that made Cold Waters. So yes, these games are cousins. Same concept, different historical era, different implementation, and different management (Sea Power didn't make War on the Sea's mistake of rushed full release).

Both are meant to be intricate and historically accurate sea warfare RTS. So they are bound to resemble at some level.

Amazes me people don't actually do any research on a game before posting a rant on a forum.

this game is nothing like war on the sea.

Might as well say an apple is a more polished version of a grape

I looked up Harpoons in War on the Sea and they lead me to some whale fishers. Strange.

Nothing alike more like fleet command and cold waters. War on the sea is disapointing

Not even close and as far as missions go visit the workshop. Some of the best mission I have played are workshop missions. Currently over 700 mods probably 50% of which are new missions.

Can't understand how someone can compare Sea Power to WotS as the same. Oh yes now I understand, they are both Naval (didn't mean a kind of orange or a belly button) Computer Games. Maybe now we can compare a Truck and a Car as the same. As for WotS being disappointing, I thought it had a lot going for it. The only disappointment was that the Devs. didn't stick with the updates and improvements longer. Would be looking towards a WotS 2 but will be very happy, I hope, with TFA.
