Sea Power

MOD Manager
I have searched a bit. Anyone have a clue where how and where the game saves it's MODs and the order of the mods?

Let me rephrase, I know where the MODs are kept. I am looking for the config file where the MOD paths and order are stored.

I am thinking of an external mod manager where mods can be moved easy by entering number, adding priority etc. Assign Mods to groups ie NTU, Missions etc.

usersettings.ini file, in your windows user profile\AppData\LocalLow\Triassic Games\Sea Power
Thank you @jasoriab
I have started a github for a Mod Manager, but my coding is AI only.

Here is the link, if some master coders wants tp give it a whack.
https://github.com/jacosmitza/SeaPowerModManager.

The idea is to have a place to easy edit the load order of the mods. But my limited skills I am not able to get it to load the Name= field from each mod-folder's _user.ini file.
Then to change the order and save the usersettings.ini file (a backup should be kept too).

Unless you're going to package that as an executable, Python is a poor language choice as the user would need to install a runtime. Better would be C# or C/C++ targeting a runtime built into Windows (C# w/ WPF).

But I'm unsure as to why we need a mod manager when mods can be enabled/disabled in game. While I'm ignorant to it, does the order of mods really matter?
I agree, python is basic. Unfortunately what I am being served with by chatGPT.

I believe the order of patches matter: Patches above Mods above Missions.
