In the meantime, if I may, WotS does have a real time campaign module too, it isn't turn-based. Cheers :)

Oof, why such low scores?
I kinda of have mixed feelings on Ultimate General stuff - it seems like their latest release for example people are accusing them of dropping 1.0 for a blatantly unfinished Ultimate General: American Revolution - to boot the lead dev is leaving and company is transferring ownership haha, which is why people assume it's a game being dropped early, unfinished, so dev can cut support and move on to other projects
UG: CW seems like everyone more or less really enjoyed and I've wondered about Dreadnoughts of Age of Sail for a while myself but haven't played either.
There's just no real game to it. The devs seem to have wanted to copy Rule the Waves to their own detriment. Designing ships is fun, but everything around it is either absent or halfbaked. The combat is fine but, it's pretty much just an RNG simulator and the player is more or less irrelevant outside of microing torpedos
