Devs, the Strawberries Can Kill scenarios needs some work
There's a lot of potential in the setup for this scenario but it needs a lot of work. Here are some suggestions that don't deal with bugs (although the AI's current lack of using carrier aircraft really makes it a very long and boring one-sided fight for the human player):
-Don't start both sides >1,500 NM apart. As NATO I found the Soviets early and then spent something like 6 in-game hours just getting close enough for my strike aircraft to actually be able to get in Harpoon range.
-Having nothing to go off of in terms of search location also isn't really fun when you've got the entire north pacific to look in, maybe some type of pop-up intel report with a general location to search in.
-Keep both sides "even". Why does NATO get three P-3Cs with waypoints already built-in that will naturally find the Soviets and an attack submarine in addition to the Carrier battlegroup when all the Soviets get is their carrier battle group? Give the Soviets some ground-based recon aircraft, they'd have it anyway. Maybe one or more attack subs and some Charlies to keep it interesting.
-Can the Soviets get at least one Kirov and one or two Udaloys in their battle group? This size of their force is almost all of the major combatants of the Red Banner Pacific Fleet, and at this point in time they had a Kirov and probably some Udaloys over there.
-The NATO scenario says its the USS Carl Vinson as the carrier but the in-game model is the Nimitz. Not game breaking (both are Nimitz class carriers), but it is immersion breaking.

Just my two cents.

The whole game needs work. The editor also.

It’s an Early Access game that’s been out like two months. Yes it needs work, I figured it’s more useful to have actual feedback instead of generic complaints.
The soviets get a submarine, at least a chance of one, I lost a DD to a torpedo spread while the fleet was smashing along at 30kts.

Is it randomized if you play it from the Soviet's side? I loaded the scenario but haven't played through it from their side yet.

It is indeed randomized if you play from the Soviet side. Also the fact that the only way you can get an early detection on NATO is through using aircraft from a carrier that never existed in real life proves my point about there needing to be Bears, Badgers, and Backfires on the Soviet side.

I don't believe have completed this mission yet. Game freezes after 5-6 hours. If this is the mission I remember correctly, you get a blue sub starting in the middle of 2 red TFs. I have tried going deep and 1/3 speed but still get detected and never survived moving away.

Might be a different one? In this one (variants on NATO and Pact sides) its a Carrier Battlegroup duel. It seems there's a randomized chance of getting a sub. Definitely gets sluggish though, slows to a crawl when you do a missile barrage. Did a salvo of 50-60 missiles from the Soviet side and it looked like it was playing at half speed.

Ah yes, the mission with chance of blue sub appearing bet 2 red TFs is All your Guam belong to us that also takes 5-6 hours to complete.
