I think they've said it will be moddable, Sea Power, if so, maybe as a mod or DLC? I'd buy it or download it
I love that era of fighting, but I just don't see the utility of it without hunting for NVA or VC in different areas. They were afterall, the main purpose of that campaign, plus ebbing the flow of weapons on the sampans.
I mean, sell it. It might get their attention.
You could easily just model small patrol boat ops on the coastlines, they were more important in vietnam than the destroyers, you can easily model them without having to model troops debarking from monitors to fight inland. I have seen pics in this game of modern patrol boats so it makes no sense to not have at least some swift boats.
Damn well I guess I can keep wishing we see a modern day remake of "Gunboat" some day. Even if it wasn't a sim and was like this game, it would be awesome.
BTW I play ed Fleet Command and Harpoon classic 97 for years and lot of board games so I am seasoned in this topic. I wish we had some naval games that focused on a more tactical aspect then the strategic or operational level we usually see.
I would pay for a remake of Gun boat......Microprose? Coughing, coughing
