A small group of Hard working talented folks at that !.
Oh yeah to complaing and whine about the others.
And what are you talking about? The EA Release Date announcement in September was out of nowhere, nobody would have even realized if it came a few month later.
It seems that instead, they lied, and they simply ran out of money and hoped for EA to pay for their lack of planning.
Its not important what the final reason is. The game is in an unacceptable state to sell it at full price.
The devs could also be honest
"We want to go EA, there is a lot stuff not working currently, but we want to have something to play on christmas. You can check the units, create own scenarios in the editor or use Scenarios we create ourself.
We know that its currently far away from a real release state, thats why we offer it to you on 30€. Price will rise when we enabled a functional AI"
But insteat of that, they put a fullprice and being as intransparent as possible about the real state of the game.
the fact that its not a AAA game is exactly why it has literally no business being $50 in early access. the game has almost nothing in it. is full of bugs and these dudes want the price of a AAA game? what makes you think they wont just take the money and run now? theres nothing they can lose with this price. Early access is the new beta testing so people are paying to help them find bugs. it shouldnt be anywhere near a full price game at this point
The best thing about EA you don’t need to buy into it (those that actually see gaming as considered purchases). - not at this price and not if it increase's or doesn’t improve or gets further developed.
4-5 years from now it’s still going to be on sale and it’s still going to be the same game as it was when released -if you haven’t played it
The devs ain’t going to change it either and they don’t listen or reply.
Unlike Microprose of the 90s. I got on really well with Mike (Sgt Dubose) and M1TP2 - as did everyone on SimHQ and CombatSim. I even got coloured contour lines added on the map. My claim to fame. Lol.
The names the same but there’s nothing remotely similar from the past.
To be honest, EA is an embarrassment and shows how bad gaming truly is when money is ‘begged’ for before anything further - or not is added.
Of course I’m speaking as a PC gamer of 34 years, today generation have nothing to go on and see it as normal.
EA hasn’t been around long at all and was originally for small devs/companies to get a foothold on a very long ladder of established leaders. Now it seem to have reversed its fortunes.
Yeah, gaming is hanging by its fingernails. Hence the monumental amount of ‘Remasters/Remakes/Reboots’.
Scenarios are not good enough and i was under the assumption that there would be some sort of persistent campaign at launch or by the end of the year, not in summer of next year.
