Is there a way to automate or at least a command queue for less microing heli?
So I was playing the NATO Charlie(suppose the name is, not playing in English) mission (1xCG 2xFG VS 1xSub)
I launched a heli from my CG and ordered him to drop a bunch of sonar buoys in front my course by holding shift.
I noticed that the heli stopped after dropping the first buoy.
Is this a bug or intended? I think right now heli requires a lot of microing and I hope there is a way to automate it.

I've noticed similar issues if you put in a movement command in that sequence of shift clicks. Say you order a helicopter to move to point A, then drop a buoy at B, and then onwards to C. Sometimes, when the helicopter reaches A, it just stops moving. My solution to that has been to just not give movement commands, only buoy commands. Alternatively, if I understand it right, you can use CTRL and Right Mouse Button to create a premade pattern, that should save you on the clicking.

Agreed, I think the game needs a mechanism similar to Command:Modern Ops where we can put in shapes via waypoints and order units to do various types of patrols in that area. The waypoints would need to be able to move to keep station with a moving TF for cases of ASuW Patrols, etc. I hope they can add this, I can see they already have mission types in the scenario editor.

I havent given the game a proper session yet but the manual mentions something about ctrl + ?( Forget) for setting up waypoints for bouy drops but i could be mistaken, i was reading about sub controls.

I have had no problem giving my helos a mission of placing several buoys. You need to select the sonobuoy then shift-click on the map, as you would do to set a series of waypoints. Here, each waypoint will be a new sonobuoy.

what he said, found both SSGN with helos/bouys and MAD.
Also you can click on and move waypoints after placing them. As above just select the helo, select the bouy at the bottom and shift click a pattern, then click on the P points to move them to clean it up or adjust as needed
