Binoculars?
Would anybody else quite like to be able to use binoculars like in cold waters?

GIven the large ranges combat takes place over in this game they're probably pointless but I find myself constantly wanting to look around with them, maybe its from playing other naval themed games and I'm just used to it.

That would be cool, but how would you use binoculars if the whole game is in 3rd person?

I believe you can do that already with the current camera controls. You can lock the camera into position to a particular area of the ship like the bridge or deck and look around.

The more I play this game, the less I'm in 3rd person camera view. I use the big map almost all the time and I really don't know why I would want to have a view from the bridge. To look at the empty sea? Most of the fighting is miles away, but when things get heated, I don't see how a view from the bridge/binoculars would help me in that situation.

Oh hell yeah. That and periscope for submarines like War on the Sea has. I think it is a really cool touch.

they should keep the persicope features from cold waters...

If you are fighting in coastal area like fjords you might have radar / visual dead zones. HAving this ability to see surroundings from bridge would give you better ability to asses these dead zones.

I'd love for the individual unit control to be similar to Cold Waters too but I expect in larger battles that would be impractical as they are after all different games. I do find when I'm doing submarine missions I want to run torpedoes to go active in different places and I want to rapidly change depth but can't as I don't have that level of control.

More options for viewing the spectacle isn't a negative.

Yeah it would en really nice, a simple periscope view would also be much appreciated. I feel binoculars & periscope views are kinda missing in the game, it adds immersion and helps with visual situational awareness to. Maybe it could be a simple binocular view like we had in War on The Sea.
