I was using 4-8 nm spacing per Dangerous Waters, and the radio transmission range seemed about 12 nm in Sea Power. Apparently MAD comes on at about 300 feet altitude, but there was not a notification for that. I noticed when I turned on the debugging and checked sensor status.
You will find 2 shortcuts. The first one is for a vid where the Orion does not drop any Sonobuoys and flies around the drop point, from the mission "Crimson Tide", and the second vid where the Seasprites DO NOT encounter any problems to drop sonobuoys and keep dropping them from the mission "Charlies".
To my knowledge here is only a problem with the P3 Orion on Crimson Tide but not with the Seasprites on Charlies.

It always stays orbiting on the first one, without starting the launch...
