You are buying the full game, you are just forking money over before it is finished so the developer has more funds.
Said funds can be used to end up with a better final product at launch than would have been possible without the beta release.
That's what early access is.
If you people don't like it then just wait for the actual release. Vote with your wallet.
Yeah, EA doesn’t mean Electronic Arts 🎭
No, you are not. Eventually, sure, but most EA games recognise this and dont charge full retail price for an early alpha.
There is no excuse for charging full price now, they are not an indie team self publishing.
Price isn't an issue imo. It's the EA tag you whine about. If it wasn't for the EA tag nobody would complain.
I don't have an issue support the development team by paying them their asking price. They deserve it more than other big companies that Is asking £60 or more for a reskin of last year's game and the year before etc.
Early Access mean, you put yourself on risk. You buy an unfinished game with t´just the promise that the devs will continue development. Its also an experience which can divert a lot from the final product.
Its also a way for the developers to earn early money and being able to finish the development without a forced release cause thy run out of money.
Its a mostly standard in the industry, that EA games are cheap at first release and get more expensive when the game get mor content or go 1.0 release. As a player i take the risk that it will be done and i stuck with that unfinished game. For that i get a cheaper price.
In this case, there is no reason for me to take the risk. I dont get a benefit from it, to buy that unfinished game now.
On the other side, why should i buy know. Courrently the gameplay is extremly limited.
No Tutorials
No functional AI
No static Campaign
No dynamic Campaign
No Safe/Load
When i wait half a year for next summer sale, i get a much bether product for Sale-Game which will be cheaper then now. There is no need to by now. There is no advantage for me. I just can sit and wait what happens. I "loose" nothing.
There is one advantage, the ability to enjoy the game now vs many months from now.
I choose now, as do others.
Simulation ?
You obviously did not try command or RTW.
This is the dumbest thing i have heard yet today on these boards.
