Early access is just a way for devs to cash in and bugger off.
When they dont want to pay the EA price, they can wait till its fully released and buy it then.
Devs don't set the price. Publisher does.
The devs have almost certainly got a fixed fee per month from microprose. And, it's ultimately the publisher than will experience the financial success or failure.
That being said, the devs just can't bugger off, they will have a contract with microprose that means they have to develop it for a certain period of time.
Got to say bit disappointed. because you look at games like Kerbal Space Program 2 that got abandoned during Early Access, and you know your taking a chance. At that price you don't want to take a chance.
