Hope you will rank up, you need to play against clog, rank pro skilled players they said YEP
Agrro meta killed the game beacuase was UNFUN to play, win or lose. This feeling is the same when i play agains Nilfgaard... UNFUN, BORING, OPRESSIVE.
"Nilfgard will kill this game" is what i think from my experience.
The Nilfgaard Empire, in the Witcher lore, is known as one of the most powerful kingdoms. But it's not THE most powerful.
Redania, under Radovid rule, overwhelmed and conquered everything related to the Northern Realms, for example. Why a Radovid NR/Witch Hunters themed deck is not powerful enough like NG, then? The developers of Gwent are taking this way too far.
I seriously hope they buff other decks or nerf NG. Especially their mill cards.
Besides, Nilfgaard gimmick should've been strength in numbers anyway. ♥♥♥♥ like Slave Infantry everywhere, for example. For some unknown reason this went for the dying Northern Realms which should've had a rally theme instead but what the ♥♥♥♥ do I know.
and that why gwent commu is as toxic as heartstone. Devs can say they have the commu they deserv. But that the meaning of beeing a ruler, because devs are ruler of the game, and all ruler never admit the mistakes they did and so we will never see the game go back from where he was good. They already killed the arena because they want to be like everyother ccg. They even add a card called Alzur in easter egg.
At least SY pirate save the game for this month, that here the only thing new I find it fun and I don't even know how but strong too, since a long time
Buff Kingslayer's power to 7 and debuff it's provision cost to 9. Limit of one card per deck.
And Joachim's provision cost should go to 12 or 13. Keep two copies.
As a side note, return Viy to 13 provision cost. It's the only unit with a cost like all the scenarios. There's not a SINGLE card in this tier, only him.
Also, speaking of scenarios, either return Masquerade Ball to 14 or change all the other scenarios to 15. What's fair is fair.
And, to close it off, every banish: graveyard and banish: deck card, from all decks, shouldn't have a copy. Only one per deck.
So, you quit 9 out of 10 games if someone is playing NG but you're moaning about other people wasting your time?
There's only one person acting a certain way in this story and it's not the other player.
If I immediately forfeit, the NG player gets the "win" they clearly desperately want and I avoid a boring game. That's the opposite of wasting someone's time lol
I prefer beat NG players, spaming emote, and don't GG them. I gain so much more, and I didn't lost my time
I do both but it depends on mood. I mostly quit because I can't be arsed but, as far as taunting goes, Foltest's are hilarious.
NG players with the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ decks and slow af players get the worst of me, one way or another.
In an ideal world NG would be like this: Weak to Ok engines, weak pointslam (or pointslam with a drawback), strongest control options. If you look at the basic NG set, it roughly follows that philosophy. The only pointslam cards it has are Tibor (which can backfire), Xarthisius (which requires setup) and Joachim (which, by itself, is fine because if the unit pulled is answered, you end with -4 points, plus it also can make you overcommit).
Then poison happened (which allows you to remove points while simultaneously building points). But it's still kinda fine.
Then Ball happened.
Then Braathens happened.
Then Coup happened.
Then Usurper happened.
Then Viper Witcher Mentor happened.(And Gorthur Gvaed by extension).
Do you see any meta NG list not running at least 4 of these cards? Me neither.
I think it's pretty clear why everyone and their mom plays the faction.
also NG "meta"ish decks run non of these cards. (Ar-Pharazôn)
NG is pretty much soldier based right now, you go for the tibor reveal, soldier swarm with vreemde, assimilation (maybe brathens in here), snowdrop (lotz of draw/shuffle cards),...
yet spies, poison or control (heavy tactics) are not a common thing right now.
ball got massivly nerfed last patch.
braathens is well more meme card than anything, he either is in allin assimilation or in mill. n both are easy to counter. if your own deck isnt super greedy too.
coup? what for? double/fourth joachim? just purify joachim, kill him or hide him behind a defender. if you run heatwave keep it for the castle.
bout tactic heavy decks? scorpion, hefty helge etc. the prob is units are either to big to be dealed with in 1 go or ot worth killing in the first palce (unitless decks). so there are some enslave decks out there but they are far from good or consistent.
reading all this rly makes me wonder which rank these ppl are at.^^
Mill? C'mon, it was and always will be a meme deck, Braathens usability far exceeds Mill.
Not every decks runs purify, and Joachim health can still be reduced, nulyfing the requirement anyway.
Ah yes, Heatwave castle for 0 points.
Defender is easily dealt with as NG.
I might agree with Ball, still a very strong card, and as long as it exists, it will synergize with any further aristocrats from future expansions, heavily limiting design space with loyal aristocrats that play above provision value. Hell, even Emyhr (which I think it's one of the coolest NG cards and totally in sync with the faction's original design) is paying "the Ball tax" rn.
I won't deny it being the weakest faction at the moment. And yet it's still very popular.
But I digress. My main point was that NG has heavily deviated from its design since Homecoming. Not that it is unbeatable, or oppressing.
