It's good for those with not much scraps/ores to try a lil deck brewing and make do with whatever golds they have and I feel is pretty economical as well, whilst learning to play the game better before becoming net deckers, and end up either wasting lots of resources crafting the needful only to find that the deck is not exactly to one's liking, and/or not sure how to play a certain deck.
In my first month of playing Gwent, I was a deck brewer, and went to pro rank with a deck which was RNG dependent. Also, tons of people didn't even know what exactly I was playing until my deck archetype became a "meta" at tier 2/3.
Also, just 3 months of playing and spending only $9.99, I have enough RP's, ores and scraps to get possibly every card being released in the next expansion. Have nearly 120+ RP's and 9k+ scraps and ore, due to just my own playstyle of not following net decks and hoard mentality.
Also, the enjoyment you get from deck brewing is priceless, esp when you find out that the deck is perfectly viable and when you see opponents get extremely puzzled as trying to figure out what exactly you are doing, accompanied with the misplays they make are rather hilarious.
Next level for me needs to know more about what apponant is going to play but thats a long way off so I use my own brew to confuse them.
No deck I would expect would be new as there are never enough cards. But you again make a good point its currently a good option to look at and why.
The problem I come up with is that using a lot of cards to give row effects you dont have many units. This means there spot removal is better and you run out. Plus they have a lot of pumps and fetches. I come up with a solution to help but hey thats my tip ;)
I also run a semi-meme NR deck with Elephant and King Roegner. Literally no one expects it, it's quite funny when that Mystic Echo Harmony plays that Willow on the front row and I just nom that shield for a huge Roegner (biggest I got was 31 enough to make many Monster players jealous).
