There's no limit to the number of bronze cards per se, you just have to fit them with the provisions you get.
But there's a limit to the number of *copies* of each card if that's what you're asking : a gold card can only be included once in a deck, while a bronze card can have two copies max per deck.
When did this change? I thought the wonky UI was playin' tricks on me with those 4 copies..
If this was also possible with GOG Gwent I royally missed that too. *mumbling

you misunderstood what he said, you cannot make a premium card with two regular ones, it just saves you the scrap and only need meteorite to transmute, the game keeps up to 4 bronze copies/ 2 gold copies, it does this off the chance that you can transmute 2/1 of those copies and you will still have the non-premium.
example: i have 2 geralt: yrden. i click on one of them and transmute it, one will become premium and the other stays standard.
