Everytime I start Reigns: Her Majesty, it runs in windowed mode. I have to go to the settings to switch back to fullscreen. The issue doesn't happen with the original Reigns game. Any idea?

Using Ubuntu (MATE) 18.04.

Also, not sure if it's related, but when I start the game, I get a window with two choices that are the same ("Star Reigns: Her Majesty"). This kind of launcher is usually used for launching different versions (e.g. 32 and 64 bit) or different options (e.g. launch the game/lauch an options panel/launch an editor...) but I'm not sure how/if both these options with the same title are the asme or not.

To put it simply and a bit approximately, ALSA is an audio management system that was widely used on Linux until a few years ago, when lots of Linux distros replaced it with PulseAudio (which uses ALSA too but places itself on a higher level), which has more features. Some distros haven't switched to PulseAudio and still rely on ALSA.

I'm not sure if Unity manages ALSA or only PulseAudio, if it has options to use on export that would make a game work on multiple audio systems...

@Aonoa: do you own other Unity games and, if so, do they output sound properly on your setup? Also, I assume that you checked with alsamixer if everything was right (no muted output)?
Also, if you run Steam from a terminal, do you get error messages related to sound when launching the game?
Finally, do you have 32-bit versions of ALSA/modules installed (if you're on a 64-bit OS, which I assume is the case)?

If you're tech-savvy enough, you might want to look at similar issues reported by googling something like "unity alsa no sound"; e.g. I found an issue reported for another game that might be similar enough for the workaround to work (though I only quickly read the messages).
I have the same issue: I wondered why I was naked when equipping Carter's Armored Vest. It's my first playthrough, I didn't know we're not supposed to get Carter's equipment at all. Just noticed that I had mage spells in the stash, wasn't sure why.

I wonder if it has to do with giving her items at the start of the game (I noticed that she had low HP, so I put a medkit in her inventory but couldn't find how to use it so I just left it there, planning to use it at the next fight).

EDIT: for some reason, at some point later in the campaign, I also got a copy of Is0bel's cyberdeck but with lesser stats (4 programs instead of 6) that I could sell while she kept the real one. Weird.

Same for me (RadeonHD 7770 / Mesa 17.3.2). Any news on the matter? a fix, some tweaking...

I know there has already been similar issues reported but just in case: I just reinstalled Delver (hadn't play in a while), selected the character from my previous session and got a GFX error instead of an object (a bow, as far as I can tell). Not sure if it's because of an old save and some objects having changed since the beta.

It would probably be a good idea to gather a bit more of input from various users with the beta before release, to be sure that the game works on various setups. I'm not sure you'll find a lot of Linux players who already own the game on Windows but it might be worth a shot to make a post on Reddit (on /r/linux_gaming).

I can confirm it's fixed on my side after the new update.

Can't launch it at all (likely a segfault like ODDity) or just graphic issues like in my screenshot?

Just to be sure if there are two separate issues there.

I'm not sure it's the same issue: I don't get a segfault when running Steam from the terminal (haven't tried the Flinthook exe though) and the game starts but part of the graphics are black blocks. I've uploaded a screenshot:

I've just sent an e-mail to Tribute Games but I don't know if they made the port themselves.

Got the game in a Humble Bundle a few days ago and the Linux version ran perfectly. Today, I've launched it and discovered that a lot of the graphics (sprites, maybe) are replaced by black blocks. In the meantime, there seems to have been an update, so I guess something changed that broke the game on Linux.

Ubuntu MATE 17.10 / AMD RadeonHD 7770 / Mesa 17.2.2.

Ok, so they published the official FAQ which states that Absolver will be released for "PC" (which obviously means Windows) & PS4 and, later (2018), they might port it to other platforms like XBox 1 and Switch. I think we can forget about a Linux (or Mac) version, they obviously ditched it.

When that's the case, it's usually because a third-party porter has been commissionned to make a Linux/Mac version of a game. Often in order to be part of a Humble Indie Bundle.

I'll still wait for an eventual Linux version, I don't really play on my Android systems, but thanks for the notice. ;)

The original game was first released for a Humble Bundle if I'm not mistaken, so I wouldn't be surprised if the port was outsourced and conditions are not met to release the STCE the same way.

I didn't realize it was the ScummVM exe it couldn't find. But in this case, that's weird that it can run the safe graphics mode: is it using two different versions of ScummVM?

(Anyway, I finished the game yesterday, so I uninstalled it but I'll keep track of this just in case.)

Trying to launch the normal (OpenGL?) version of the game on Linux gives a "missing executable" error. The "safe graphics mode" version works, though.

Is the regular version absent from the Linux port? Is it an issue due to the recent update? What are the differences between both versions?

You might want to contact and/or post on Reddit (on /r/linux_gaming), they'll be happy to spread the word on the need of a porter. ;)

You can also try to get in touch on Twitter with people like Ethan Lee (@flibitijibibo) or Ryan Gordon (@icculus) among others, they port games to Linux/MacOS.

Now that the game is out of early access, are there more chances that it comes to Linux (and Mac)?
