2k Players? This is dead

Game isnt dead but i am not using my account in steam i will keep playing in the original launcher cause i have to modify complete launching route for it works. Is more easy for me just open and click play. Jajajajajaja Please Arenanet repair it so we can use our account here.

Modify complete launching route? You just put this in the launch options on Steam, ez pz. Everything works the same afterwards

Because there are various versions of the same map at any one time. If a map becomes full, then there's another 'instance' created so people can still join said map. Then once people start leaving the original one, those remaining will get the option to transfer to the newer one with more players. It's pretty simple really, has nothing to do with the map itself having a lack of players, just that particular instance of the map.

The game has been using its own stand alone launcher since release. Game is still huge and very active. I'm unsure of the player count as its not public but when the latest expansion launched it was announced the player base had more than doubled over the last few years and it was successful enough to begin development on a fourth expansion immediately. This means that Anet and the publisher NCSoft are confident in the product to continue developing and expanding it for many years as expansions take years to make. If you log in you can see the game is very packed with players pretty much no matter where you go. Steam numbers may be small but that's because steam user base represents a small percentage of the population

Why would I buy it again just to have it on steam?..... Many people won't and there is not enough of new players to come in. It's been 10 years. Whoever had interest in game is already playing it or played it. It's the 4th mmo with biggest playerbase right after wow nad ff14.....

No you just pay what is a fair price for all the work they have done and you would never ever have to spend another cent on the game (outside of new add ones) and 100Bucks for years of fun is nothing, so if you do not like it then do us all a favour and stay the hell away we are doing just fine without the likes of you.

Not everyone likes or wants steam, I would never ever use this ♥♥♥♥♥ money grabing launcher over my GW2 launcher, there is absolutly NO reason to use a steam launcher that I can see, biggest mistake Anet made is to put this great game on this cesspool of a launcher.
