(Spoilers Head, btw)
Straight ahead of this pod (if you exit the pod and go straight) is what I like to call the "Center" of the world, there's a pair of hangars with a round platform between them.
I can't remember compass directions, so I will speak in terms of spatial alignment assuming you are approaching the Twin Hangars from the pod. If you turn due left, you'll see a huge ice cave in front of you. Once inside you'll have to make a hard right and go up a steep hill.
There's some uranium laying around and a fair bit of uraninite.
Back at the Twin Hangars, if you look to the immediate right of the passageway that took you into the ice cave, you'll come to an area where there's a rocket stuck in the ground and a giant Zeolite crystal. This opens into a HUGE cave later, but if you go along the left edge of this, up a slope, there's another entrance into that ice cave, this one has a frozen lake and LOTS of Uraninite, probably 50+ pieces of it.
Returning to the Twin Hangars, to the right of the above mentioned passage, you'll see a stone archway overhead. This takes you to a bowl-shaped area where you will find Bauxite and a small amount of aluminum and a Large Domed Living Quarters with some drones in a it.
Turning further right back at the Twin hangars, you'll see a path that goes up a hill. If you follow this up and around, it'll take you to an area with some black shards sticking out of the ground; there's lots of Osmium up here and you'll catch a glimpse of a huge wreck up on the hill. I dunno how you get up there normally, I built a ladder myself out of a bunch of stairs which also works.
Back at the starting pod, step out the door and turn right. You'll see two new areas from here once you move close enough: the left of the two is a yellow area with lots of sulphur which eventually leads back to some giant drones and a landed ship, and to the right, up a small path, leads to a lava area with some iridium and bauxite laying on the ground, though you will have to be careful of the lava if you go further in (you're meant to have a jetpack to explore in here).
And there you have it.
There's lots of deep caves under the surface, though, so don't go thinking that's the whole world.
