Autowalk

Well, basically the title.

Is there an autowalk? Press "buttom" and the character keeps walking? Even a mod for autowalking.

Did the devs ever mention anything about adding it to the game?

Unfortunately never heard of adding that from the devs, which sucks because having to press non stop a key to move is a fast way to screw up your hand muscles/tendons.

If you're technically minded and willing to do a tiny bit of programming/scripting, I recommend using Autohotkey. It's basically a simple scripting language for emulating keyboard and mouse control. You can use it to achieve an auto-walk for pretty much any game.

And it's a great way to change or "create" hotkeys for games that otherwise don't have them or where you can't change them.

@TazmanianD Have you used AutoHotkey in this game specifically? I tried using my usual script that I have for other survival games but it doesn't work at all. I simply have a script where pressing mouse button 4 holds down the "W" key for me to do an automove, but that doesn't work in this game (at least not in the demo).

My binding for toggling hold down the mouse button for auto-gathering doesn't work either, and all it does is toggle holding down the left mouse button.
