Where are the sun and the stars we need a interactive skybox
we need a cosmic skybox or skydome 360 degree rotatational or non rotational environmental wonder perhaps with a galaxy as backdrop.
Can you imagine a planet crossing the skies ? sometimes overcrossing the stars ?
I really like to see this in future improvements
Let a planet rotation and a primary star for the planet you are on , rising and setting on horizon along with the attached objects like planets but never let it's path be obstructed with that of the sun rotation on the skybox.
otherwise we will experience eclipses during daytime
Eeeh might be fun to watch aswell lol

I have made skyboxes in UDK 3 and maps for unrealtournament 3
And they need to be big and never colide with a terrain module which has placed in the map area but far from the terrin

I have tested this lanetcrafter with exploits like flymode to see how you made this game
and the planets are too small and too close to the playing map
that is why it needs to be realer and more interactive.
On planet Humble i saw the rings aroung a planet as if this planet is a moon staying ontop of a planet and that seems to be off (creative criticism)
But make the rings the face us from it's side.

I know i rock the boat among the devellopers but if this game is ment to look real it needs logics and calculations aswell.

CREATE THIS MORE TO BE IMMERSIVE
resulting in even more happy players

Counterpoint. We're tidally locked to the nearest planet which is why the skybox doesn't seem to move.

Also, who said it's meant to look real? It's clearly a stylized take and not photorealistic at all.

Really.. We've got two large satellites in constant view, how is there much of a night on this planet anyway? We should always have the equivalent of full-moon light out there. Just check out their albedo!
