Also, we know what the Wardens look like. They look like us. That was part of the early lore that you read in various Warden sites. When humans came to their world, they trusted us at first because we looked so similar. Then apparently, we rather betrayed them somehow, and they had to flee to escape the possibly violent? nature of our kind. The Warden ending basically says they died or met some other horrible fate. These people could not seem to escape their inevitable doom. So not really a mystery so much as hopelessness.
I wouldn't mind mystery. Following the Wardens was kind of a bust anyway as they don't like humans. I would not have expected them to welcome me even if I had found them. I just think it would feed into their obvious paranoia about never being able to get away from our kind.
Maybe a bit more than just 2 lines of text? After all the effort you have to put in the game and so many hours, i'd expect a bit more - a cut scene, more info about wardens. It would have been better not to give the ending at all the way it's been done. Better to leave it as complete mystery than make us work so much for 2 lines of text.
I agree
