Anyone trying out the multiplayer feature?

Just curious as to how multiplayer works, if it really changes the gameplay or what.

I'd say it speeds things up. You can have one person gathering resources and the other building base. Bringing in stuff from faraway locations is also faster.

I havn't tried to. hoping a friend gets the game so I can join and speed things up just to hear them reacting to exploriing things.

I kinda want to try multiplayer but so many questions first - is there an in-game chat or how do you communicate with others? Can you have more than 2 people in a game? Can you only play when both are in game or just anytime without the other player(s)?

Yea I have ran through it all I could about 4 or 5 times now. I have played since early access started. Its seriously fun and is kinda my go to relax game. I usually pick it back up every update that adds something cool, and play it through.

Me and few friends started playing HC MP last night. Tried out random ores as well, Quickly gave up on random ores though So far enjoying MP.
Dealing with the extra food requirements can be a little rough.

I tried with a friend and he's here but apart from collecting ores, he can't do anything

edit: nope scratch this, he did the dumb, it all works fine
