Report a translation problem
I spent about 2 hours trying to make a dna sequence. Only to make 1, then go and make more stuff to try other ideas before seeing the screen above. It is outside of my viewing range, because I don't run around inside buildings looking up..
Therefore my suggestion is to lower it.
Would also be nice to crossbreed the flowers to make new variations.
I do.
It only holds 3 recipes... now I don't need it. But it could have saved me a couple of hours of trying to randomly make the right sequence if I'd seen it earlier.
Hardly a spoiler, when you can see additional recipes are locked when looking at the console in the Biodome.
And I agree, the DNA recipe screen is weirdly placed, and I missed it the first time around as well. A simple "Currently Known Recipes" button in the lower screen would solve the problem.
Or even just the Biomass page of the regular Blueprints Screen.
That page isn't on that screen initially. It shows up later, well after you get access to the Biodome. I assume there is a required Biomass level to unlock it, but I don't know what it is.
It is easy to completely miss the information screen.
I never found the recipe information screen during my first game. It was only after I read an online guide that I learnt that you can click at the top of the DNA Manipulator.
If you are standing in front of the DNA manipulator's and close enough to craft, you cannot even see the top part of the DNA Manipulator. It never expected that there is a touch screen above my head.
Also, when I look at 2 the touch screens on DNA manipulator from a distance, most of the time I see a label with symbol (brand name) rather than a touchscreen. If I stand close, it looks more like something you can click but the the top quarter of DNA Manipulator is not visible when looking straight ahead.
I don't remember the mouse pointer symbol on the DNA Manipulator being there when I first played. I am not sure if my experience would be the same now.
I missed the screen too at first, but for me it added to the fun as a poor person stranded at a planet without any clue :D
But to be honest: A small hint in an maybe upcoming tutorial wouldn't hurt.
