Planet Crafter won't launch
Hello,

I played today and everything was fine. I had to go so I left the game, went to do my things and, when I came back, I saw that there was an update. I installed it and now my game won't launch.

There's a window that appear with a loading bar. The name of the window is "Planet Crafter - Unity 6000.0.26f1_ccb7c73d2c02". Then, the window disappear and steam says that I can launch the game again. I tried launching the game multiple times, reinstalled it, I checked if everything was fine. I can't find anything.

So, now, I can't play the game anymore. Can someone help me ? Thanks :)

Verify the files, that may help, you can also delete the game and reinstall it, your saves are safe, or should be btw.

I already verify the files and I deleted the game, reinstalled it. Nothing works :X

I have the same or very similar problem since the update. I haven't had the loading bar which you described but simply a frozen black screen when trying to load. Game has worked fine for hundreds of hours of play prior to this update (barring the occasional crash).

I honestly just did all of those steps, still getting a black screen that claims to be Planet Crafter, but it just pinwheels forever and never launches.

Exactly, same here. I could play today and, since the update, a tiny loading screen and then, nothing. The game closes itself. No crash message, nothing can tell me what's happening. I just donc what happens.

The Decorations Update did mention an upgrade to Unity 6. Make sure you have the latest gpu drivers installed.

Is anyone opted in to Dev branch might be time to opt out since the decorations is now live.
Mods will require updating.

I have the latest drivers, everything's ok. I never installed any mods. I don't know what to do.

Hello.
The same thing happens to me: the window with "Planet Crafter - Unity 6000.0.26f1_ccb7c73d2c02", then it disappears and steam says that I can launch the game again.
I verified the files, deleted the game and reinstalled it, but it stays the same., GPU drivers are up to date...
Was anyone able to solve this problem? Tks.

I saw a Unity Update yesterdy while ingame. It closed my game out. Unusual to have an update while ingame. But it must have auto saved as I got back ok just back a little from where I was up to.

It no longer works for me. I spent at least four hours trying to get it to work.

Hello Folks,

After an hour of Akarnokd's time via Discord Help, he figured it out that it was my audio drivers. In my case, I had to DISABLE the other audio devices listed in the Device Manager > Sound, Video and Game Controllers. The only two left on were my Pro-X and Realtek High Definition Audio.

But even then, only using the Pro-X (USB) made the game launch.

Big Thanks to Akarnokd for taking one hour out of his New Year's Day to help me out!

johnyoga, thanks for this! The game now launches if I set it to my monitor speakers. I could live with that but unfortunately my USB mouse refuses to actually click the main screen buttons.
