blue crate sizes in base game?

I notice some of the blue crates around the game have greater capacity than what we can build. any way for the player to build these larger capacity blue crates?

begning storage is small chest.crate then we get tier one locker storage which is about 4xs bigger , then later teir 2 locker storage which is massively bigger about 20xs bigger maybe 30xs

Not the oversize blue crates, no, but as elf says, we do eventually get larger storage, the first one holds around 30-ish items, the tier two one holds 80-ish.

There's now also the Safe Vault object added in the Decorations Update last month. In terms of capacity that sits between the T1 and T2 lockers with (from memory) 48 slots compared to the 35 in the T1 locker and 80 in the T2 locker.
