As far as the Planet name, I thought it was odd from the beginning. I mean, it's hard for a planet to be like, humble or angry, or thoughtful, or kind. Not the usual descriptors for a rock in space. I would really be curious to know why they chose that name. Which is why I call my Humble save Planet Curious. Lol.
Mmmmm, after coming within a cat's whisker of dying in my first playthrough of Humble (before they made it easier) I decided that the name meant that this new planet was going to Humble me... and it did, for awhile, but I have it's pulse now, it's clay in my hands, lol!
My first Humble save I named Stumble Inn Bumble Humble, my second one I decided to call Get Down & Humble,,, (guess it was one of those days... ;-p )
They give you early access to Nuclear Reactors which means power is a non-issue on Humble, and they give you a steady stream of Alloy too which also reduces that burden.
Once you get a T2 Extractor up and start digging up Uraninite, you've got it made.
....except that to get enough iridium (with uranium not far behind), you have to take in excess of everything else, so I feel as if the system could use a little better balancing when it comes to how much and what the uraninite produces. Minor detail though...
I thought that once I unlocked drones I could just set up my shredder to automatically collect any excess ores and delete them, but nope! For some reason my drones put ores in the shredder before my storage is actually full. Even though the shredder is set to lowest priority.
Are you using Priority 0? I know theoretically you can do that, but I always set my shredders to 1 and my storage to 2 just in case 0 is buggy. Superstition, I suppose, but it always worked for me.
It's no longer a number. Priorities are now called "lowest", "very low", "low", etc. But I guess I'll give that a try.
EDIT: I just tried. No change. Shredder still gets prioritized over storage. And for some reason the drones ignore my crusher entirely, and don't seem to pick up any cobalt and bring it to storage at all.
Musta been really recent because I did a playthrough like a month or two ago...
All others are higher than normal. so it should work.
Yep, they changed it - they even listed it in the list of included updates, pretty sure it was with the decorations update. Not much of an improvement for programming the drones though, my drones are also acting like (as I have been calling them) 'idiot sticks' (as in, all the brains a dead dry stick has lol)...
I've surmised that maybe 'highest priority' really means 'lowest priority' to them? 'Cause that's the way they seem to be acting lately... it doesn't make sense that would be the case, but, who knows? It's a 'go figure' thing just now...
