Suggestion: gas extractor

I would like to see a toggle in the Gas Exctractor to be able to choose to extract oxygen only or methane only. Getting oxygen from cobalt until late game is getting a bit meh. Unless I'm missing some oxygen refining equipement.

Nope. It's meant to be inconvenient, like the Ore Extractors. Getting the 'wrong' thing is part of the game.

Only when you get the T2, you have a 2/3 probability of getting the ore you want. The gas extractor is basically mainly for methane, so I get that this is going to be it's priority.

Build a second (or third) gas extractor if you want more methane or more oxygen.
Personally, I go through methane much more quickly than O2

In this game you can easily circumvent all obstacles by simply building more.
Run out of iron? Build 30 more T2 Extractors in the destert.
Run out of algae? Build 20 more T2 Generators.
Run out of methane? Build 15 more Gas Extractors.
Run out of patience to build? Get over it, instant gratification is not possible. The game is way too easy as it is.

There is a very simple solution for anything, but getting more seeds, in this game. Just like for the crap you get and don't need: shred it.

I've got three, and I usually get two oxygens from all three each batch.

I agree with you.
It is an important thing of the game, that machines and other stuff is not 100 % you want. So you have to act for solve the problems. If there would be no problems in the game, you would be finished in short time and would be boring fast.
I would prefer other way: Do the game more compley (more content, problems, ways), e.g. to add CO2 or N2. But i know the developer's time is not endless and they have to concentrate of more important stuff.
