Are we able to make fabric later game stages ?

I know we is able to track some few fabric in these small chests where i have been all over the map but that is not much when we build several big bases or few around the map and will equip them with decorative furniture just to make it look nice everyplace.

Fabric production is not in the game as of this time. You can collect about 30 pieces from chests right now. It would be nice to have added in future updates.

2,5 years have past but just on the offchance, that you want to play another round you might be interessted to hear that there is indeed a way to make fabric in the game now.

During the insect stage you can manipulate the DNA of some Larvas found on the ground in quite a few areas to create silkworms.

When you progress with the terraforming the recipe for a silk machine will become available automatically. With this you can create silk. A little bit later you unlock the recipe for actual fabric.

All in all you need 3 Silkworms for one machine, which creates silk with 2 units of silk being able to be produced into 1 unit of fabric within your bio lab.

Now all those furniture recipes for the base which all need several units of cloth at least make some sense :-)

Fabric square yes, once you get the Silk Generator BP at insects level it gives silk rolls which taken to Biodome crafts Blue fabric.

We can also buy smart fabric and now even find or buy customised couch bed chair, found in the Decoration update. This allows to change the color on beds and couches chairs.

Ironically, the very same fabric, prophesized so many, many years ago, is what destroys humanity's precarious foothold.
Nirvana Hign falls, burns... explodes.
The radiation pulse released from the Frederich-Envoy antimatter drive exploding, cleanses what life, however small, was left in the solar system. Sol is sterile once more.

The time traveller watches from a distance. Observes. Makes notes.
