How to find something you built under the map

So I was trying to place the lab and it kept showing red but I was trying to place it close by my base and when I clicked it placed somewhere but I can't see it.

I'm assuming it's under the map, after I placed it I got the low power warning and on my screen for power it shows it taking power

Is there a way to get under the map and try to remove it? I have tried using the ladders, building a living containment on top and nothing is working

Your best bet is editing the saved game file. Savefiles are just text files in JSON format. It should be easy to search for the lab.

You could find the component which is below the surface and raise it by 20 metres. Then reload the game, build stairs up to it and destroy it. See the FAQ for location of saved games.

Omg thank you this actually fixed the problem! I was able to remove the biolab and not corrupt the file lol your a hero thank you!
