Selenium?

I went to the moon from Starter planet. Got a small base set up and was able to bring across enough materials to get a bunch of heaters/drills/plants going. Already 10% away from Vegetation stage.

But I can't work out what Selenium is used for. And does this moon not have any ore deposits like uranium, iridium etc, cause I dunno how you could terraform this moon if you started here. Can anyone explain what Selenium is used for?

main question no as new to the moon myself but you can mine most the basic things through at least sulfur and the rest you can shuttle over as needed, I do know there is a limited supply in chests though and by deconstruction some equipment.

Starting on Selenium is a challenge mode start for people that want a challenge. It is not meant to be easy. More than likely have to loot boxes and wait for super alloy storms to get a lot of stuff until you can leave. But I don't know, I have not finished terraforming Selenium and I started on Prime so I can transfer stuff in.

Thanks, but I'm still none the wiser about what Selenium ore is used for. Can anyone explain?

I think its in the recipe for the T2 recycler and possibly some of the quartz

How are you teleporting? You need a cosmic quartz to build the teleporting ship but I thought cosmic was only available on humble?

Search the nearby building you'll find some seeds and aluminium for a food grower, and a even little food.

T2 engines , Trade rocket fuses, and Blazar quartz all use selenium.
