Would be interesting to actually encounter someone else on the planet who is alive, or to be able to save someone even, but I suppose the whole thing with that game is its sense of isolation from other human beings. That's also part of what makes it rather relaxing compared to many other planetary exploration type games.
There was the wreck in the toxic caves, and a couple of signs of shipwrecked survivors who had since vanished without a trace, but not really anything earth shaking lore wise, imo.
Maybe there is more to find, but so far it seems content light compared to some of the earlier zone additions. Perhaps it's because the developer is spending more time on the new DLC? Still waiting for the new mammals to spawn, though.
Also, is it just luck of the draw on this playthrough, or has there been a change in frequency wrt the drops of the mammal #4 species and variants in the portal procedural wrecks, as well as rare frog eggs? Haven't gotten any this play through.
