That's the camera clipping THROUGH the terrain, and it's unavoidable given the camera angles they use.
They do this so that you can look around while simultaneously driving.
The camera position when exiting is an oversight I'd wager.
Give them time, if enough players ask for it, it could happen. But then, you can't color your base rooms either, so...
You can use the middle mouse button to switch to first person perspective while in the rover. I wouldn't recommend it as it's hard to understand where the rover is in relation to nearby obstacles.
You mean, like you have to in real life when you put something in the trunk of your car?
Seems reasonable. You put something in that big box in the back of the car, you have to get out to access it again.
A minor nitpick, but an understandable game limitation.
I think everybody has at least one of those. My uncle is stone deaf if somebody wants him to do something - but go up three floors and crack a bottle of beer and he will 'happen' to wander in within a minute or two, lol! (Sheesh...)
Yup. "Bob's yer Uncle" has a whole new level of meanings in our family, lol!
"Bob" (aka Stretch) was actually my Dad, but he had a lot in common with his brother, which led to some rather legendary tales when they got together and managed to sneak off.
It's lucky my Gran had a sturdy heart; at one point she got a call from the Merchant Marines saying that her 16-year-old son had told them he was 18 and joined up - when his appendix failed and he landed in the hospital in Cairo (yes, Egypt), they realized his real age and wanted to know, did they have her permission to operate? I can't imagine, lol! =8-P
